I am in the process of relocating my batt to the trunk and I used one of these:

Most write ups I found online used 100 or so, 30 seems alil small to me...

that one helped, tho I am running a kill switch and direct line to my fuel pump w/ a relay thats 25 amps... so my setup is alil different.

Wait, like the MAIN hard-line from the battery up to a distribution block in the engine bay?

30A?

Common sense. You have a 75A fuse by itself, plus about 30 other fuses in there. 30A would blow all day long. I would use at least a 125 or 150A up close to the battery terminal.

100 amp breaker from advanced or autozone for like $30 and never had an issue. 30A is waaay too small for the main positive.

At least 100amp for the main line going up front.

But... Ideally you want to fuse/breaker your power wire at it's limit of power capacity in case of shorting out. You have fuses in their original spots to take care of their own respective circuits.

Just my 1/50th of a buck

I used to use a 100 amp breaker and it would occasionally blow if I was having trouble starting my car. I switched to a 140 amp and haven't had a problem with it.

I believe I'm running a 140amp as well on mine. I have mine located as close to the battery as possible, so I mounted it to the side of the battery box itself.

Mine is plastic. I put mine in the driver corner in front of the scissor jack. I put mine their because it gave my car a better cross-weight when I put it on corner scales. I used to have it mounted on the passenger side. This is in an s14 so s13 may be a different story.

Cool, my external batt switch is in the antenna hole on the drivers side, so I was planning a similar setup, so thats good to hear.

Drift guy, I will be back in action for spring 2012, I know there was a weekend meet down at a lowes near the crossings that was popular i went to twice, may hit that up once and awhile, so ya ill give you a shout if im gonna b there.
