White bunny set up question
Just installed my white bunny set up with 6 puck clutch, and having vibration when start to drive, car shakes till clutch engages, then everything is normal, when shift gear in lower rpms I feel abit of vibration as well.
Any1 else had this problem who just installed a new clutch with flywheel.
I only put like 15 miles on it so far....
Just want to see some if any1 else had this similar issue, because I saw alot of people getting that white bunny set up.

Everything torqued to spec with thread locker? Also did you torque everything correctly?
I had the same issue. Some bolts ended up backing out a little.
Pucked clutchs with strong pressure plates with have more of a chatter feel, than your full face clutch. Not sure if that is what you are feeling.
I have a 6 puck unsprung with a 11lb flywheel and it doesn't bother me much.

Yes everything torqued to spec, no thread locker though, my last clutch was 6 puck as well, less torque rated though, it does not bother me.
Just wanted to see some1 else who installed same set up had same thing happen. We will see if its gonna be smoother with more miles.

I can't comment - I have a white bunny setup as well but I'm using a 280ZX clutch that is full-faced.
I'm thinking what you're feeling/hearing is chatter, but only you could tell us that. Have any audio/video of it?

Yeah I did, I remember the flywheel went in hard ,but I did tighten criss cross. Over the last 2 years iv taken motor out like 3 Times and swapped evrything over each time, and few transmission changes, so its not first time, and always just fallow OEM specs, did not have a problem. Just this time it feels rougher, I also reinstalled my pedal, so maybe got to play around with that as well.

I have a pretty hard chatter that causes some loud clunking in the rear. I have yet to figure out what it is.
I thought maybe it was play between the driveshaft, diff and axles.

Sounds normal to me. If I try pulling off easy with clutch fully engage, it will buck/chatter/chirp/bog/make me look like an a$$, etc. I tap the gas while releasing the clutch slowly into transition.

I will have to break it in more and see if it will ease up, its only from stop to first.

Loud clunking in rear is usually sub frame bushing shot.

That may be so, but mine are solid aluminium, so that is not the case here.supakat wrote:Loud clunking in rear is usually sub frame bushing shot.
I had my dad come over and slip the clutch while I was looking under the car.I could see the driveshaft quickly rotating left then right as the clutch was chattering, and the axles were moving in relation to it.
I think the noise is play in my pinion/pinion bearings. It sounds terrible, so I am going to get a back up diff soon.
BTW my clutch has over 500 miles of stop/go on it, so it is plenty broken in.
