Hi, I bought a Dc sport front strut, but after intalled I've noted that it hits the valve cover, do anyone know what is causing it? Is it normal?

maybe the motor mounts sit to high? Are the motor mounts aftermarket? Do you have any pics?

Motor mounts are stock, the strut brace hits the letters in the valve cover, Ill post some pictures later because the car is in a dark area and my phone has not flash.

that's weird, I have a strut tower brace, and I just finished re installing the nismo motor mounts. Those are known for being higher, and everything still fits fine. There has to be an 1-1.5" of clearance there.

Are you sure it is the right strut tower brace for your model/year? There should be a little clearance, honestly I wouldn't run anything that had less then 1" clearance from the motor. Especially with stock mounts, those things allow the engine to move around so much, it will rub and maybe crack the valve cover/brace, or do something worse.

I've got the same strut bar but for S14 (they are slightly different) but even at the highest point there's at least an inch of gap between strut bar and vc. I would assume something weirds going on with the motor mounts

Can it be installed if it was rotated horizontally 180 degrees? ...and is it definitely for a 240? (there should be a serial number somewhere on it, and if one contacts DC sports they should be able to tell one if it is the correct one; or could try looking it up on their product page on their website)
