S14: 17x9 up front, 18x10 in the rear

Post by Kamilitaryman »

Hey guys,

I posted this question on Zilvia, but not having any luck there yet, so here it goes:

Ok, I'm starting to lose my mind with all the numbers in my head. I'm hoping some staggered setup OGs could chime in and help me choose a wheel setup.

Current setup on my S14 Zenki:

-stock fenders
-stock A-arms with ES bushings
-stock camber bolts
-K-Sport coil overs (not sure which model, but they look like their basic coilover)
-300ZX calipers in the front, stock caliper in the rear

What I'm trying to achieve:

A staggered setup with a 17x[9-9.5] in the front and 18x[10-10.5] in the rear...not sure which offset to choose though.

I'm trying to keep the rolling/pulling to a minimum, hence why I'm really scratchin' my head here. I'm not a fan of stretched tires either, so that's out of the question - please help a fellow Zenki owner out!

Also, where do you guys buy your wheels?
PM me if you're interested in getting something powder coated!

This should give you an idea of what to run:

Definitely going to need a roll with 18x10 out back. You'll probably be more worried about clearance issues inward (towards the centre of the car) up front than out back. Typically you'll want to choose a 17x9+20mm or less or 17x9.5+12 or less up front because of this, although you can run slightly higher offsets depending on wheel design. Out back you should have a bit more room to play.

17x9 et 15 up front. 18x10 et 25 out back. You will be able to run 0* camber in the rear and around 2-3* up front. Fenders might need a roll but no pull.

i run:
F: 17x10 +0, 2.5* camber 215/40/17
R: 17x10 +20 ~1* camber 225/45/17

note: photo 1 is +15 out back. fenders are obviously rolled, wheel wells are hammered.

Lol, I think its because we get bored too easily. We are always wanting to change it up.
I had a civic with the works. Halo lights, body kit, neons, annoying exhaust lol. I thought it was the coolest thing. I then later pulled all that off and returned it to stock. I still have that car too, and now I want to do a k-swap. Car guys are always trying to do something else for fun
