Anyone know about this Scotch?

Post by supakat »

It is a rare bottle from 1996 and distilled in 1974. eBay has a 1975 bottle going for $479. I wonder if I can get half of this. Yes, I would rather sell it, buy a clutch, and spend leftover money on the car rather than drink it. Sorry guys.

I don't drink, so my opinion is to sell it. I don't know anything about it, though.

pawn stars bro.

i picked up a DE last weekend and was going to pay 150 for it but it had been sitting under a tarp... I tried to turn it over and it stopped turning, so i says to the guy "what do i look like a jerk? ill give you 40 bucks to pick it up and get this hunk of metal off your yard. its not even worth that in scrap."

yeah im pretty much a haggling pro cause that show.

long story short, upper timing guide broke off and caused it to lock up when i was trying to turn it over. I got a decent motor for 40 bucks! and many a beers (not scotch) drank after the discovery of good motor.

i know this has nothing to do with your scotch.... but whatever.

I'd sell it too. In my opinion, the amount of fun you'd have destroying a fresh clutch in your car > the fun you'd have staring at a bottle of 1974 scotch
