Re: E85 timing at 20 psi
I had 20* @ 20psi. Ended up lifting my head and blew Cometic HG. I only have 10mm studs so I backed off to be safe.

Re: E85 timing at 20 psi
Maybe a little late...
I used to run ~20* at 16psi with e85, but I was running a smaller turbo (50 trim). 16* at 20psi certainly seems like it is in the ballpark, but be careful. All setups are different.

Re: E85 timing at 20 psi
Damn guys, I've been running 16 degrees ramping to 19 past peak tq on 18 psi on a 60 trim .63 t04e on 93 pump in the florida heat forever. Got blowby and ripped my block apart and just have worn rings. Never blew a felpro with the old satrun arp studs and my pistons look great for being from 2006.
built block, sls manifold, 60 trim t3/t04e, rc 750s and nistune
Re: E85 timing at 20 psi
I think I need to re-visit this again. When I lifted the head, I was using this one tq wrench we had. When I redid the setup, I used a new craftsman tq wrench. Regardless of what, I want to take baby steps so I can enjoy her. I ran a 600cc by 3 cars last week from around 50mph to I am guessing 140mph (I know I was close to hitting redline in 4th with j30 diff).ViperGT wrote:hahah well i havent lifted my head yet im gonna pull out before i get her pregant, you think detonation caused the lift or too much power?
Kedbmx made 800whp on 10mm studs. So I had to have had wrong tq on the first time around.
