KA24DE with VQ transmission

My transmission is on the way out and I found a great deal on some G37 transmissions
Thinking about using it with
http://www.maverick-motorsports.com/col ... pter-plate

Anybody using this kit?

I know I can shorten shifter mount myself and I think Bellhousing machining is only required to clear the starter, which I can do myself.

The plate looks like you will need to cut the thickness of the plate off of the bell housing. This is how I cut my z32 bellhousing with xcessive plate. The other stuff is easy. Just which driveshaft are you going to use? Pretty sure the VQ tranny is thicker than KA yoke. Same applies for the VG in which I am still using xcessive 3" steel driveshaft.

Dont think a g37 trans will work, i have that adapter. They tell you have you need to do. Machine bellhousing and mod the shifter. Gktech is working on another bracket for the shifter. One guy who is part of the maverick crew modded his shifter alot to have a better location, i saw it in pics. And i know some company uses a billet shifter bracket

And yea you need a custom drive shaft or a shop that would change the yoke. Z33 trans have the same spine on the input shaft as a ka or sr or rb
