Tearing down old engine... Help identifying crank markings

Post by Toxic240 »

Long story short, bought the car and engine off a good friend of mine who was told for the longest time it was a CP/Eagle rod setup. Well that much I've ruled out as being incorrect and it's a bit off from CP & Eagle combo. Now need help ID'ing the crank shaft markings and figure what a better place to ask than KA-T.

Rear markings I don't know what they are. Front markings are to help you decide bearing colors with the F.S.M.'s help.

Umm, why do you need to know anything about the crank markings. If crank is ok, no wear, or spun bearing then measure main and rod journals accordingly. If you are going to have the mains and rod journals ground, then your machine shop will help determine what size bearings you need.
