Megasquirted "updated to 302whp at 14psi"

Post by roadracer4life »

Got the nissan on the dyno finally.. Got all of the MS stuff running fairly well just had to make some guesses on the ing timing and dwell settings.. the car made 250whp and 240wtq on 10psi soo i am so far pretty happy..
I will post the graph up later today..

sofar so good the wiring was fairly easy only had actually cut 5 wires on the harness. 4 injector wires and 1 going to the ignitor/coil asembly... Here is my dyno graph..

Image

and here is my log from the run

I need to get my exhaust done cause i am stuck with a 2 1/4 crush bent exhaust as of now with the gate going back into the exhaust.. All in due time tho..

I agree, that's why your torque numbers are lower than hp.

Even if the dyno A/F was correct he would be ok he is maybe 12.4:1 and boost is just starting to build. And since it drops rapidly to the high 11's the rest of the way he should be fine. What fuel are you running?

Heck yea.. Now all you need to do is ditch the revhard/t4 setup for a nice tubular setup with turbo of choice..

Why are rev-hards that inneficient or something? Or is turbular just better if your over 400hp?

Really think you can boost much further than 14psi on pump gas?

yea josh made that much power but he will tell you its at a price for longevety.. The power he made was very excessive on pump gas and on race i feel it would of been plenty safe.. I have no plans on running past 17-18psi on this turbo it just wont do it..

He runs an 8.5:1 CR.

Those CPs are what..9:1? I don't care to speculate any further. I hope you do make it.. 350whp on pump gas is a good feeling. :)

Given you had to increase boost 4psi to make an additional 52whp, it tends to work as a percentage that you will probably need to increase boost a little more than 4psi to gain 50whp more. Things like IAT, heat soak all that comes into play.

Hopefully dynamic CR works out in your favor and 18psi turns out to be safe. 15psi is usually the stopping point on 9.5:1 CR for 93 octane...

Agreed. 22lbs on pump is stupid, I'll be moving on to meth control soon and looking for 24lbs on pump.
