GT32e Stock Block 282hp/287tq @ 10psi

Post by biggie »

Just got it done last Friday.

Different runs of 5psi and 10psi (seen at intake mani).

GT32e .63/.60
Stock S14 engine (S14 cams still)
JWT ECU for 480cc injectors and blow through Cobra MAF

Is running richer than 10:1 above 4k rpms, so still some power left in it, going to probably lower the base FP by 1-2psi and eventually get a Wideband and play around with SAFC2.

Dyno graphs

181/200 at 5psi
282/287 at 10psi

running a gt3251e setup myself, thanks for posting and congradulations on the numbers. i'll have some 13psi numbers saturday if i can get my ducks in a row. ive heard a bunch of comments that the turbo "comes alive" aroun 15psi. im going for 16 (street tune) and then i'll dyno tune to 350wtq. i would be proud of those numbers on 10psi.

my T3/T04e .63AR made good power at 12psi and 14psi... but the turbo really seemed to go WOW when i went a little higher...

great numbers by the way.

Yeah, I plan on building an engine when money allows, that's the reason I went with a turbo this size, no need to change it later.

Nice numbers, especially considering the stock cams and 10:1 AFR's.

Some aftermarket cams, or even stock S13 cams, would help keep the power from dropping off so much after 5500.

Thanks

Yeah, just no hurry right now. Have my convertible to work on and low on money for a while. May want to start building my extra engine before I even put more into this one. Once it gets 85+ degrees outside this car doesn't come out too much, except at night.

He'll probably blow the motor, and then join the army of retards who hate on KA's for no good reason.

nice job man...glad you got your setup together and seeing what it yields...there looks like something is going on between 2500 and 3500 rpms...looks like someone took a bite out of your TQ curve...what were you afr's doing during that window?

Around 10.5:1 until 4k rpms. Its running rich overall. There should be 30hp or so left in it.

Just the matter of playing around with FP, SAFC, and a Wideband (once I buy one).

I'm really impressed with your results man! Good work! Hopefully I get my setup fixed up soon so I can make some good power like this too.

Nice numbers. What exhaust manifold are you running? Exhaust configuration after the turbine? What about intercooler and intercooler piping sizing? Thanks.

SSAC tube manifold. Just cut between the runners (and planed) to try to cut down on stress.

Exhaust is 3" from Turbo back: custom downpipe to test pipe to Tanabe SMR cat-back.

IC is a Johnny Racer I bought used, forgot the exact deminsions, but it fits inside the bumper support, is a little smaller than the big kits. 2.5" piping on each side, though on cold side is the Cobra MAF which goes from 2.5 to 3, then 3.5 back down to 2.5.

All pics from the build are in this thread:

Your talking about the non linear jump up in horsepower and torque.

Isn't that just the spool up to boost?

Yall may have jinxed me, things were going too well.

Electical issue, missing when I started it yesterday, SAFC2 isn't turning itself on (though its getting power). Believe the Alternator is bad and may have fried the SAFC, hopefully not the ECU.

Just an update on my problem, SAFC2 went bad, since I hadn't used it to fine tune yet I just removed it from the harness and the car is back to normal. Now if it'd just cool down some so I could drive it more.

you dont by chance have the proper chart from precision? best ive found was a garret chart with different exh housing.

I do really want build an engine to get to those higher boost settings, only need to win the lotto.

I've not found a good chart.

i really dont think that too much to ask for from a stock block. not to mention these motors are practically free. im not built.

I won't go over 13psi. They haven't been too free for me. Paid about $550 for the one I have in my Coupe currently. Granted I bought it back in '03 or so and its only got 80k miles.
