Small Ka-T T25 breaking up at 12 psi
Hia people - it's my KA-T2 on mustang dyno:
T25 breaking up at around 12psi.. The graph reveals my ghetto street tune. I swapped mafs from faulty n62 to n60 and "ghetuned it" few hours before the dyno (got tired of pushing the dyno day away)
Print out is quite faded. Peak at 245 wtq / 274whp.

I was running a GT2560R at 10psi and got 242hp.

If I were you I would test voltage at your coil at Idle and see where your at. Maybe try adding a 30 amp relay and some 12-14 gauge wire so your coil voltage is closer to 14 volts at idle. I have my bkr6es gapped at .028 and run 14.5 psi no problems with a gt2560r.
Here is a mod that helps when using an s14 distributor:
You'll need some 12-14 gauge wire
a 30 amp relay
connectors
soldering iron with solder
heat shrink
cut the black/red to coil connect to 87
connect black/red from ecu to 86
connect ground to 85
connect wire directly to the battery positive to 30
Basicly 85 and 86 energize the relay coil to provide 14 volts constant through 30 to 87 and directly to the distributor coil.

jmac636: I'll look at the voltage at the coil and see what it is.
Thanks for the suggestions!
koukidriver: Wish it was more a more stable power curve but thanks!
p.s. to everbody.. I built up another motor I've been testing for a while now - it's a ka24de with altima 9.2:1 pistons & some other goodies and also T25. I'll try some of the suggestions you guys posted to improve the second motor's performance. Again with that tiny turbo - I am not ready to play in the big league yet

First is you edited this dyno sheet in photo shop using blur tool and text editor. all in all it is a fake dyno graph that you made to look like you put down more power then you did. Second why would you post something that looks more like a seismograph than a dynograph. And if you have a T-25 puting out that much i drop dead. But the power it claims is from the -hp to max so the dyno calculated peak based on a - hp drop you are most likley putting down 165whp you threw off the dyno from the motor stalling not a break up.

I was trying to figure out how to increase my post count without being a douche bag when you showed up oilman... I come here because I like this forum, I like working on cars and I like helping people if I can or learn from them... I could say few choice words to you based on the assumptions you put together but I'll try to be nice...
Couple of things:
1. Here's the unedited video to go along with the "edited this dyno sheet in photo shop using blur tool and text editor". If you skip to the end, you'll see the "seismo-dyno" graph. You'll notice that I didn't "throw off the dyno" or even operate my car on it.

Here's another video of it running on the dyno:

2. This is the engine layout I had back then:
http://www.makemilk.com/pic_hosting/s14 ... 1712sm.jpg
3. This is the turbo I had in there - home rebuilt turbo.
www.makemilk.com/pic_hosting/s1495/diy/t25_rebuild
I don't have any other turbos - just SR20 T25's and the oversized garrett gt42 that I bought for over-ambitious project that I am trying to sell as soon as I get enough posts to put up my ad.
4. I posted the results of my dyno and said it was breaking up. It's too bad you don't like - I don't like it either - if I didn't need post count to sell that gt42 I can't use, I wouldn't have posted it since you are right - that is a seismograph dyno. But if I wanted to fake numbers, I'd grab a nice tuned graph and post that up - at least I wouldn't be uneasy about someone spotting my ghetto street tune and pissing all over it like you did.
I wanted to get my posts up and share it with people who may care and appreciate that even tiny turbo is not a total waste to put on the car - gives people hope that they can do something even when they can't afford an expensive setup. Sure, my tune sucked - turbo isn't ideal but cut the creative thinking - think simpler. I'm a simple guy
Now to capitalize on my 2 additional posts..
p.s. Nothing personal up to this point but unless you got something useful to add to help me get it tuned up, please stay out of my threads from now on. Thanks.
