The way I tune I will be taking it easy. Just up the timing 1* from 3500-5K. Monitor knock, listen for knock then advance again. I will not go over 5k until I get good results with that power band. Once satisfied, I will add timing about 5* less than the 5K band and tune up top. I have seen 20lbs @ 20* and thought that was advanced. I believe I am currently around TP72 last time I checked and it was around 22*.

Yes of course every engine is different. Things that affect the amount of timing you're able to run are cams, exhaust backpressure,CR ratio, intake manifold and of course fuel.
I'm running kind of similar setup to you (not so extreeme thou).
But I'm running 14degrees at 25psi  so I sould be able to try to run a few more degrees of timing without putting it on the dyno :) The closer I can get the map on the street means less time on the dyno. The cost of dyno tuning is about 180$/hour in Sweden :( So I wan't to be sure I don't spend more time there than necassery :)
Thanks for contributing to al KA owners!
Looking forward to see some nice vids of the beast from the track this weekend!

so the general rule of thumb for timing retard on pump gas is .5 deg per lb of boost.... what is it for E85..??

im on stock ecu with a greddy emanage blue piggy back and im pulling 8-10psi... boost controller is OFF so im running directly off the wastegate... i have the emanage set to pull -7 deg timing.. and yes im on E85 so my question is what is the general rule of thumb for timing retard on E85..?? and yes i know im probably loosing buku power because im pulling so much timing for 8-10psi on E85 but i just want to keep my motor happy until i get more info from you guys that have more experience with E85...
