Thanks bro your build is sick!!! You should have no problem hitting 600 assuming your on e85.
arob987 wrote:Very nice numbers, makes me wanna finish my 6266 build even more.
Thanks bro you should finish your build it looks like an awesome one. And so I can see the potential of that 6266. I love my 6262 but I think I'm at or close to the limit. But the spool up is awesome plus the power potential of this turbo makes it a perfect turbo for the ka IMHO ,but my experience has been this turbo with e85.e85 helps spool bigger turbos because it has more exhaust velocity.

It's a cosworth head gasket, 11mm l19 head studs, head is ported and has dual valve springs that's about it.

what method did you go about installing the 11mm l19's ? i dropped in buckets the other day and found that 2 of them will not go in smoothly because my head was warped :/. so of comes the head. i regret using a cometic and arp 10mm's, c16 would seem alot more expensive when im only able to go 5 or 6 psi over pump fuel limits.

I time serted the block for the 11mm head studs. I did them myself but the time sert kit I bought was 400 bucks. But it worked great.

holy cow. how much furthur do you plan on pushing the boost? i was thinking of just special ordering custom l19 10mm studs specifically for the ka, it would work out very similar in price, and im sure they would still be very reliable at 30psi.

32 or 33 psi is probably all I'm gonna bring it to. I already have other issues like traction and transmission issues. I just run around on 20 psi . I haven't needed more than that to be any car I've raced on the street. I save the high boost for runs I have set up with bigger fish aka built fast cars lol .

A1 Technologies used to make 10mm L19s for the KA. Unfortunately, they stopped making them. I e-mailed them a while back to see if they could make a custom set and they never even responded.

This is the website and the kit I ordered. And it has free next day shipping . It really did come in the very next day. Made the morning delivery was pretty pleased with this company. I had to modify the alignment plate with a spare head gasket I had . But I did my time serts with my block still in my car. This kit literally has every thing. It even has a sleeve that you insert into the plate to make sure the drill bit and tap go in straight. Very good kit but it's pricey but then again you got to pay to play right lol .

Personally I used I believe it was rb20/rb25 studs (have the box somewhere in the garage) drilled and tapped the block no timeserts.my machinist put it on a machine that levels the block and drills it(not sure the name of it) then tapped it cost me 150 dollars,he said there was plenty of thread and wouldn't be a problem.I've torqued the head down 2 times no problem have put around 1500 miles after the first time and no problems.I also used cometic gasket lol but he resurfaced the block and head for it and it sealed fine Only pulled head because a valve fell when I was doing a couple valve seals.

Being able to do the timeserts with the motor still in the car would really save a lot of time and hassle. Thanks for posting the link.

May I ask where you bought your head studs? I'm assuming you're using the 11mm L19 Evo head studs?

I honestly don't remember which website I bought them from but they are for an evo8/9 . Yes 11mm l19 head studs.

I'm actually debating that right now. I've been using the stock intake for. Kw because it's what I had lol. But I'm trying g to debate if it's worth it to upgrade. I haven't really seen another power curve here like mine but that's not to say there is t gonna be a gain from it.i just want to make sure it's gonna benefit me to change the intake out to a shorter runner bigger plenum .

have you any concerns with the l19 material and its vulnerablilty to rust ? im not going to say where because they only have one set left, but i found a set of 10mm l19 studs for the ka, drop in, priced good. not sure how much ill benefit but id like to hold a safe 28 psi on a similar sized turbo.
