684/572Tq 33psi 6766 Stock intake
It was an ambient 112* in the shop on the dyno which was ridiculous but fun. The head gasket really let go after 650hp pull but my water temps were still in an acceptable range but starting to go up which concerned me but I turned the boost up a little more and hit the 684 point then water temps started shooting up quick so I shut the engine off. Anyways, I'll pull the head and prep my surfaces to install an MLS gasket along with my short runner intake manifold.
Setup:
Wiesco Pistons (Over the Shelf ones)
Eagle Rods
L19 11mm Head Studs
Stock Head Gasket
Upgraded Valves & Dual Valve Springs
Ported Head
BC V3 Cams degreed to Intake 2.5* Retarded / 8* Advanced Exhaust
67/66 1.00 A/R T4 Twin Scroll Twin Wastegate
E85
Stock Intake

Re: I found the limitations of the stock headgasket
Looks good. How much boost? Since switching to a tubular exhaust manifold and Xcessive intake manifold I've given up a god awful amount of torque.

Re: 684/572Tq 33psi 6766
33psi, the manifold I'm installing has longer tubing than xcessive so I'm hopping my torque drop isn't too bad. But I'll try throwing some more timing under the curve to help keep it peppy.

Re: 684/572Tq 33psi 6766
decided to go ahead and build the high compression motor and install an intake I bought a while ago. Its nice looking manifold with high dollar parts but terribly engineered, anyways after redesigning it to work on my car it all is turning out pretty well. I had a few bugs so had to cut my tuning short but here's where I stopped.
I also adjusted my cam timing a little which seems like the motor liked it.
Here a complete picture of the graph.

Re: 684/572Tq 33psi 6766
does it feel more responsive with high comp? The curve looks nice and linear. Nice numbers!

Re: 684/572Tq 33psi 6766
yes, I didn't loose much responsiveness at all with the new intake like most do. Feels very close to stock off boost and spools fast and very linear.

Do you have all the .drf's? (the raw dyno files) if so gimme, i'd like to overlay some stuff. If you dont ask the shop to email them, they're small.
What cam timing adjustments did you make?
send me the cal file for the pro efi i wanna see something.

Cam timing on my V3's are intake straight up, exhaust advanced 7.5*
I'm not running Pro Efi. The owner of ProEFI Jason and his brother are arrogant pricks that I will chose to go another route and have no regrets.

Wow, nice smooth curve there boost spooling up nice and smoothly starting after 4k rpm. Glad to see the cams working out for ya with some fine tuning, JWT cam gears and getting the it just close enough.

What's up Alan. Glad to see you still chime in from time to time. Have you had time to get your car going? I'm trying to get alot of the guys back together to cruise. Yea, made some more adjustments and car runs even better.

Re: 684/572Tq 33psi 6766
Not yet Duron, been sitting on this Z33 transmission swap and lower rear axle ratio... got lots of work to do there, I'm done with the stock KA 5 speed. I've changed the intake side of my setup (XS manifold, custom throttle body), gotta do some wiring work to get the TPS working. May go to bigger fuel injectors, I'm running the AEM Series 2.

Re: 684/572Tq 33psi 6766
I did the z32 trans swap along with rear axle and diff axle ratio change and love it! Well worth the effort and money. No more worries about breaking stock tranny's anymore. The flex fuel Is very nice, no more over priced race gas.
