Loved those videos, looked like you have pretty stiff competition on every run..
Porsche looked good, that Monte Carlo sounded like a dragster and the Lambo looked like 'The Wraith' :D

hell yeah, I go between NY and AZ all the time and we have e85 at stations near me in both places. That's why I'm going e85 when I get back down to AZ again and get my car shipped down.

Cant wait till it warms up here in indy so they will switch back to summer blend. Once its warms up so it doesnt get below 40 degrees (starting problems) at night i am going to make the switch even if they are still on the e70 mix. I will just wait to install my 1000cc injectors for when the summer blend is out again.

I cant wait :D

I forgot to ask, Were you winding out 4th or shifting into 5th?

With stock cams it seems like a lose/lose situation. If you rev it out past 6.3k you don't make anypower, if you shift you are loosing time in b/t the 4th 5th change and 5th is not exactly an acceleration gear.

I put in a q45 diff with 3.69 gears for this reason. I can theoretically do 128mph in 4th at 6200rpms which is the rpm where my power noticibly falls. I haven't been to the track yet with the diff yet though. I just installed my 1000cc injectors and need to add e85 and tune.

I remember it was frustrating with the stock gears, and i just wanted to know if you shifted or not. I always wound out 4th as well.

+1

I am also looking into the q45 diff for that reason. I might just throw in a j30 ring gear for now. Do you know how much mph you gain with the j30 over stock?

I'll have to get some e85 shots next time i'm out

I would have to know your tire diameter to give you a good estimate, and also your desired shift point.

Play around with this calculator http://ctny.audiworld.com/mark/s4/gears/gear_calc.html

4th gear ratio = 1.00, Stock final drive = 4.08, j30 final drive =3.92

117 stock @ 6200rpm and 123 J30 @ 6200rpm

I'll probably just wait and do the q45 swap. I dont want to go through the hassle for just 6mph. It might be a while before i reach the top of 4th in the quarter anyways.

Good times. I've never been to a drag strip and seen exotics. Next time, tell your camera man to get in the stands so that the video has a better view.
