I decided to try out my car on the 1/4 mile for the first time. Did 6 runs and my best was:
0.952 - Reaction
2.327- 60 ft
109.76 - MPH
13.594 - ET
I am sure I can do much better, if I was not burning the whole 1st gear and part of the 2nd and a better reaction time of course . This was done on heavy 22lbs 5zigen Typhoon 17" with Toyo T1R 225/45/17 at 27psi. Cold condition, tonight it was 45 Fahrenheit / 7 celcius.

damn. you are definitely still spinning alot arent yo.
you are trapping at almost 110. your car is capable of high 12 second passes all day long as it is. you get under a 1.9 60 foot and you will be around 12.5 in the 1/4.
you got to work on that traction issue.

I tried different launches, 3500 and 4500. Does the same thing I am spinning like a mofo. I need to control my foot on the pedal...

why are you guys telling him good job? that's horrible. your time is horrible for those trap speeds. keep practicing. btw, what kind of clutch are you using? if it's a puck clutch, you probably won't have much success getting the times down on street tires. (too hard to slip a puck clutch.) you'll need better rubber under the car.

they are telling him nice trap speed, and to work on his 60'. first step, go to the track when its not 45 degrees.fos240 wrote:why are you guys telling him good job? that's horrible. your time is horrible for those trap speeds. keep practicing. btw, what kind of clutch are you using? if it's a puck clutch, you probably won't have much success getting the times down on street tires.
