You read wrong. I teach people how to tune, and if you're local to me or within driving range, I might come tune your car for the fun and comraderie.picsbypenny wrote:i read somewhere that 8bit can burn a chip for an ecu?
I don't make mail-order tunes or anything like that, nor would I claim to be competent enough to do it like Enthalpy/JWT.

Make sure you have the correct xdf loaded even though you probably do. Or just try closing the xdf and re-opening.

You load a ADR file bases on your car. In this case a S13 ka24de.
And then you load the bin file.
Am I missing something here?
I just checked. It works in nistune.
I am in version 0.10.21, but that shouldn't matter.
You can choose the S13 240SX KA24DE car.
You should maybe re-download the.bin.
When it says that it detects an S14 SR20 ADR, ignore that. Cancel.
And from there, the timing and fuel maps should look right. When I looked, they did.
It is important to note that that specific tune was done in Tunerpro, which does not have estimated AFRs. The tune was written based on the actual values I was getting for feedback and the K value and fuel values are not optimally matched to produce the actual AFR in reality that is in the maps. The 'reality' is correct, and the maps are maybe 'off' in Nistune, but in Tunerpro the fuel maps are more ambiguous.
In any case, the tune runs great. Work with it how you wish.

sweet its stuck! def think this is a must have step one of diy tuning. i thought it was very relevant to these "uses at your own risk" tunes youre kind enough to be hosting.

Re: OBD1 KA24DET TUNES HOSTED AND POSTED!
Here is my tune. Runs prefect. Might be a good start for someone with a similar setup. I currently Max out the MAF, so i shortened the TP Scale to match. I am currently switching to a Z32 maf and will post another tune later.

Yep. I will gladly give you a couple hours of my time saving you dozens of hours of time with the wisdom I have acquired. What we don't do here is tune your car for you.
You have two options:
1) pay a professional ~$350/hour for their very specific skills, and hopefully they truly understand our custom system.
2) spend 100-200 hours of your time researching and testing your own tuning skills to become proficient/confident enough in your work to trust it. Some of us, especially myself, will spend time to help you become one of us. The only suggestion is that once you've learned from our community you are willing to help/share what you've learned.
Also: If you live near where I live, I *will* tune your car for you

Re: OBD1 KA24DET TUNES HOSTED AND POSTED!
Does anyone have a tune for a ka24de that has a topmount t3 ar.48, z32 maf, stock compression, supertech pistons, Eagle rods, with rebuilt stock head and 370cc's and a blowthru setup?

Ok so im an stumped....so now that i have found a tune that i can use do i have to split the bin file ?
Yeah um..... so so who cares if my cars not the fastest...its sure the hell not the slowest!
Goal for spring of 11 is 12.9sec 1/4 for less then 1500$!!! i think i can do it !!!!

so say u have a tune with lc ..and u don't want it ....can u delete it from the bin file useing tuner pro ?...or just set launch speed and launch rev to 0 ? my vss is messed up and waiting for a new one ...but its craping out cause of the vss..

you dont want to delete it but yes set to 0mph and its disabled but you still have functioning flat shift.
Re: OBD1 KA24DET TUNES HOSTED AND POSTED!
Bump it up!
Quick question... 8 bit or maybe someone else... I'm trying to get a basic turbo setup running on my car. S13 KA24DET, T25, 370cc SR Injectors, Stock KA24DE MAF (I'm only wanting 7-8psi at the moment)
From what I read, I cant use fuel and timing tables from the s14 tune that is posted on here that is nearly my exact setup
Does anyone have a basic tune floating around that I can mess with? The tune that came on my ECU was said to be for my setup above and for 13psi.... I only hit 7psi and it is SUPER lean in boost (13.3-13.5 and I havent made another boosted pull after it hit those numbers)... I am planning on pulling my tune off this weekend and would like something to compare it to.
Would it be better to adjust the injector value to richen it up in boost? or to actually attempt to mess with the tables?
I am a completely new to this stuff, so my plan was to pull the tune off and load it in TunerProRT and mess with it. How would I go about tuning it in real time? If that's even an option? My daughterboard has 2 bit chips and I thought I read that it cannot be tuned in real time because of that?
I am a complete noob to tuning, but am willing to learn. Any help / advice would be appreciated.

Re: OBD1 KA24DET TUNES HOSTED AND POSTED!
you could certainly copy paste the timing/fuel values from the map and then rescale rpm and TP to match.
adjusting the injector constant would shift you left or right on the map. you should have the injector constant such that you get stoich at cruise (and of course the latency should net stoich at idle. the procedure for getting these is simple and listed in various threads.) assuming those numbers are correct, you would be working with the fuel map (VE map for fine tuning). if your fuel map says 11 and your wideband says 13.5, chances are your constants arent dialed in too well. but the numbers do not need to match exactly.
you are on the right track and it sounds like this stuff is of interest to you. it will have to be if you want to reach your goals. its not overly complicated but it will require hundreds of hours of research. i remember day one for me.. late 2007 in the "calumsult thread" now there are many informative threads in addition to it. dig in. i suggest you grab a notebook and take notes on what you read and where you found it. in the biginning i found this very helpful.

Re: OBD1 KA24DET TUNES HOSTED AND POSTED!
Props to this tune and poster!! I ran this tune on my ka-t setup from early 2011 after previously blowing 2 motors because I was a noob tempted by untuned driving. Finally opted for a second-hand built long block and uploaded this tune via Nistune. Was smooth sailing all the way until I parted the setup in mid-2014.8-bit wrote: This is a solid and safe tune submitted by me, 8-bit for the following setup.
95 Nistune ECU (could use tune on calum/moates/biki/etc) for S14.
91+ octane fuel
370cc SR Fuel Injectors
Stock Mafs (blowthru, but I think this will work well for recirc style draw-thru mafs as well).
The car has a GT28R on it, but this tune should be good for most any turbo.
http://www.liquidmathematics.com/tunes/ ... r-8bit.bin
Thing was a stupid reliable. Was also very stout for the 13psi OEM T28 setup I had on it. Allowed for 3rd gear rolling clutch-drop burnies, awesome drifting, and grassroots competition v8 take downs. Lol
If I remember right I blindly bumped the timing up a little in the mid range, maybe around 4k-5krpm, because of a hesitation spot that held it back some and also because I was running 93 and knew the tune was a safe conservative tune.
THANK YOU 8-BIT
