PS last addition to the tunes was nov 6th 09!!!!!!!! c'mon ppl, share!!! ill be adding mine after one more street tune to 16psi, prolly add some overboost protection then street tune done. dyno tune to follow.
remember that TP is produced relative to the K value.... and so it may not relate to a given amount of load if the k is far different from when you made a conclusion. (if i'm getting you right, you're saying a TP of 2.5 = 1.psi.. or that, say 25 would be 10psi from absolute... etc. if so, that's only a safe conclusion for your own tune, but not as a universal application to all tunes. you gotta re-determine what certain amounts of air correlate to to in TP when your K is different)

I dont know how you retain it all being so far out of it (still loving your clean overflow tank)

Recently went to e85 and had to increase K by 15% which required 15% increase in TP values (fuel pressure increased for the other 15% fuel needed). No logs yet, but I dont think there is any way the old tp/psi numbers will hold.

I bet that the various K values is what email tunes use to base tp for timing/fuel maps. It'd be a nice side topic if people included 0psi and XXpsi @ XX TP values. Almost guaranty there would be a liner correlation between K and TP/psi.

Probably not going to materialize but, it would be super cool and beneficial to each person that tunes to input this data.

I have seen an excel file that predicted **** based on the assumed calculations that the ECU does with the K to produce TP numbers.... anyone got it? I'm looking at DeviousKA...... ;) you got it?

I have one, I think its the one you're talking about. You put what size injectors and it spits out a K and a TP scale. Let me look.
Oh yeah, I'm back!

I think emanage uses different kinds of files to save the "tune."

Your setup is pretty basic, you could probably start just as easy by doing some math to get you close, then tune from there.

I just don't see how its going to help. You're still going to need to do some math.
How will you translate the TP into whatever load value emanage uses?
Same for K Value and whatever they use for fuel maps.
I'm just trying to help here. It really only takes a few minutes.

This thread is for rom tunes, not emanage. Contact emanage or greddy support to get the tune.

Hello anyone can tell me what eprom has the ka24e have?
The ka24e ecu is 8 bit obd1 right.
I have remaped some vw obd2 16bit ecu's but never a 8bit obd1 .
Anyone have a bin for a ka24e with 450cc injectors and t2 turbo?
In my contry we run 98 octane fuel :D
Thanks

Yes it is 8bit and obd1.
You will want one of these chips: SST 27SF512 or AT29C256 (if you can find one)
If you can get your hands on a stanza ecu, go that route.
Check out eccs.hybridka.com for anything you would possibly want to know about tuning the 8 bit ecus.

I think I have one. You will have to look at it though and see what you think. It was on a car that had the hot cam swap, and a custom intake manifold. Butt dyno approved. I think it has launch control on it too...

PM me.

Lean idle/ a bit rich up top

Post by Hubie »

8bit, I'm using your tune as a basis. I'm running Z32 MAF/DW 740cc/T3T4 .63 50 trim and boostin around 10psi. It's runs well but at idle it's leaning out. I try adjusting the k-val so it idles around 14.7-15.0 but then it will run pig rich while driving and at full boost.

I tried playing with the low MAF voltage enrichment but then it'll make it idle rich.

Thanks for any help.

Use maptrace with NDS and adjust the fuel region that is running rich or lean...

u gotta do the back and forth thing with the latency and the k.
tune lat at idle
tune k at cruise
retune lat at idle
redo k at cruise
takes 2 or 3 times.

then modulate ur throttle such that it slowly goes to redline w/o making boost. thats ur 0 psi TP (friend looking at calumsult or u datalogging)

so now u have a good idea of where the boost region starts, and you can adjust the fuel. u wont have to adjust the idel and cruise regions much b/c its working off O2 feedback.

u def wanna run low boost and not go all out, get a feel for what TP in boost and adjust the timing
keep confirming timings checking out via calumsult. or if your logging.

Thanks for the advice. I'm waiting for my new consult cable. I'll update when I get some data in. I highly suspect that my supposed used 740cc DW injectors are not 740cc at all. When I downloaded 8-bit's tune it was running so lean that I have a miss at idle. I had to bump the k val up a little bit.

Don't b skerd, u got to move them a bit. If u still can't get good boost n idle then I'd suspect them and try scaling everything down to 550cc
