Nistune first start, scared

Post by 240s-ex »

Just got my conversion harness in from rywire. Disconnected the battery, plugged in the harness and s13 nistune ECU and reconnected the battery. Took the tune that was on the ecu and saved it. Now if I burn the stock s13 tune onto the ecu and crank it, am I okay to start or is there anything else I need to do? This is in my 97 240sx KA24DE

I need an s13 maf?

hate to be the guy to tell you that Nistune sells an S14 setup....

You probably have to use some S13 hardware like the MAFS.

I know they have the type 4 board. I came across a good deal on a whole setup with the s13 board. Thats the only reason. But yeah, NA for now, getting everything ready for boost. Z32 maf, rb20 turbo, 370cc injectors. Got the stock s13 tune from the hosted and posted and picked up a s13 maf over the weekend in case I need to throw it on for it to work.

I think you have everything set. When I was starting Nistune for the first time, I didn't think there was much to mess up.

You can use any maf really. Just select the maf you want to run in the list on Nistune. You most likely will have to play with your k constant to get it to run properly. But should be close to start with.

cannot speak for OP

but today huffman finally reinstalled his nistune board, it took maybe 30 minutes to get a solid street tune. s14/stepdown harness/s13 ecu/s14 maf. Difficulty will be base on the person tuning.
