JWT Is a good ECU but also look at enthalpy he does the same as JWT and usually nets more HP.

retarding your timing is needed. stock ecu + SAFC will only go so far and you can only retard the base timing so far until driveability nearly sucks. JWT ecu does it all for you so you never have to worry about it. the JWT 50lb/cobra mafs ecu typically runs 10.8:1-11.3:1 afrs straight out of the box where the 72lb/cobra mafs ecu usually runs 11.8:1-12.3:1 afr range.

they also have programs based on Z32 mafs as well and the lightning mafs which will receive feedback soon.

im thinking 50lb with z maf :) so it changes your on boost timing than right? can mulitple maps be used like the safc2?

the ecu has no clue what boost you are running. instead it measures the amount of air entering the motor and adjusts fueling/timing accordingly.

they can do secondary programs but generally its used for stuff like nitrous or 2 step.

what would u need a second map for?

if you're looking to have more than one map setup, id look into something like a bikiROM or e-manage where you can have 2 maps setup, maybe one for street driving and the other tuned for 100octane or higher or something.

are you using an S13 ecu w/ harness adapter? or is he doing 97-98 ecus now?

He only tunes s13 ecu's and then makes the adaptors.

i have the adapter harness with an s13 ecu. he is currently able to make the harnesses himself, so no more backorder waits. he is also working on a new design, but that's all i can say.
