beat a 3rd gen RX7 TT

Post by klattr1 »

yea i never thought i would be saying this....but i beat a 3rd gen twin turbo RX7 last night in my POS daily driver naturally aspirated S13 KA. i mean seriously, my car might be lucky to hit 130 whp or so right now hehe.

i remember seeing his car earlier in the night and heard the open downpipe and my brother asked him what setup he had and he mentioned "GT35R"....

so whenever later that night I accidently lined up beside him at a light, im sittin there thinking...oh god this dude is about to smoke me...

well i took off and instantly jumped like 2-3 cars and I was in front of him the whole way....

then the next light came and basically same thing happened but he started to creep passed me after 4th gear...

just goes to show what lots of low to mid range torque will do for you against a torqueless RX7 TT.... :)

Whats so strange about that run? Everyone knows that torque dominates in drag racing. Klattr1 DID say that the guy creeped past him after 4th gear. Like the old saying goes, torque for tracks, horses for courses.

Shows the first 60 feet is all you need to win a race.

lol, why not? Who cares? Its not like your car title is on the line.
LMAO the only vehicle I have right now is my damn work van with ladders and cages and ****. And I will try to race anybody thats willing to go. Eventhough I lose 99.98 percent of the time and prolly is stupid. I still find it entertaining. LMAO I say 99.98 percent of the time cause I did beat 2 honda civics till I hit fuel cut at 97 mph.

I just looked at a graph of a nearly stock 94 rx7 that made 150ft/lbs before 3500 rpms and it went up to 221. Not sure what you're talking about, thats more torque than an NA KA? I'm just saying there must have been something wrong with his car.
