It's nice to be turbo'ed again.

Post by DrEaMeR_VaNg »

Got the car running on Friday with a few problems but it drove and boosted fine.

I was driving normal when this foxbody mustang rolls by me and punchs it. I'm like, "Dude, wtf?" So after he did his ricer fly by and was like ten car lengths away I decide to catch up to him. After I did, we lined up and I punched 4th and after that it was the end (In the video, I actually put it back into 3rd which was the wrong gear for the speed I was at, LOL). :)

Enjoy.

I know what you mean. I just got my baby back on the road Friday as well. I am just cruising around a neon srt comes by me and blows off his bov. I cant do anything because I need to break in the motor and the clutch plus tune after I break those in. Glad to hear shes back on the road.

You'll get that Srt when you break her in! :)

And yeah, it's really nice to be boosted again, the only downfall to this power is the way gas prices are at the moment.

Yea I got some tricks in my sleeve. Biggest thing is e85. I pay $3.11 for a gallon of gas. About a month ago, I was paying $2.79 when 87 was $3.15.

What is involved in converting to E85?

You do your general stuff like injectors, fpr, etc. I literally drained out the 93 that was still in my tank and put e85 in. Then you will need a tune to add generally 30% more fuel. I did replace the hoses in the engine bay but I have not in the rear. I am keeping an eye on those because I want to know the truth about this stuff and rubber. Supposedly, cars from late 80's and on, can switch to e85 without any ill affects. Lucas fuel pump as well but I will be changing to a bosch 044 soon. Its good stuff.

I have been reading a forum with e85 and the guy cites a few a credible organizations.

I actually just got back in from a cruise tuning the car. While doing this a dodge ram diesel was messing with us. I was in the passenger seat tuning and my bro in law was driving. The dodge kept spooling and letting off. He finally left us when he realized we werent going to do anything. I got 35 miles on the car. Only 465 more miles to go.

My ETS manifold mounted the turbo too high so I couldn't clear the hood and I just threw my old 50 trim on. I wish I could've made the Holset fit but my old 50 trim isn't too disappointing because I get full boost around 3000 to 3500rpm. :)

All in all, I'm just glad to be turbo'ed again.
