gt500 vs me on 15psi

Post by Gangreens14 »

Leaving Burger King with my gf, I had just installed my new short shifter this was my first drive. He leaves with me we both turn onto the most perfect stretch of two lane highway ever (in Mexico of course). as soon as i get next to him and downshift he hits it. I followed but was 4-5 cars back but began closing the gap nicely. We reline up and ran a great run to about 130. he had my by 2 cars just about the entire time. he made one initial jump and kept it the whole time. He had no passenger so weight was not on my side there. Gf weighs maybe 125 pounds. Either way for my first loss ill take it!

Good stuff. Let me see some pics of your rear tires. I wanted to try and fit 315's on my mustang rims.

Even with you having a passenger you would still be quite a bit lighter. The Shelby is a pretty solid car, not light at all. Staying within 2 cars is pretty good they are some nasty cars.

I honestly did not brake boost. I just got back from Z fever in tampa where Martin from R.S. Enthalpy fine tuned everything on 15 psi. It now runs like it should I had a bad wire causing a cylinder to drop in high rpms. I want to find this guy now it runs like a whole new car with the wires and tune. Martin is a god btw. How do I send pictures Supa?

Upload to Facebook or photobucket or something. I use FB. After you load, look at the pic, hit F5 to refresh so the picture shows up in HTML and not flash. Depending on your browser, if you right click the pick, it will say Copy URL. Click Copy the URL and it will copy it to the clipboard and post to the forum. . If using IE, this will not have the copy URL option but you will need to click properties and it will open the properties of the image. Copy the URL of the pic and post to the forum.

Thanks man there is nothing funnier than having people try to race until they see my tires and rollbar and back off. I would love to see some big meats on an s13. Ive seen one olive green one with huge tires on a tubbed 4 link rear.

Yes, please post a new thread. I haven't had a good race in awhile. I want to try out this hx now. I was driving last night and with quick shifts, I notice that I can keep the turbo spooling. With the 60-1, it would die and take like 2-3 seconds to spool up again.

HX35. It is a good turbo for me. The HX40 is a good one as well but a little more money since you will need to buy a turbine housing to get good spool.

The Hx35 actually seems like more what ill need. Im only shooting for 475 or so horsepower. the 6262 is rated to over 600, where ill never be at least with stock rods. LEt me know if you hear of anyone with a new one for a good deal. I dont have enough posts to buy anything on here yet :o

I raced this guy again on sat afternoon. This time he only had me by a car and i started creeping back a tiny bit around 100. I had a passenger again and he was solo again. I didnt boost brake at all i just punched it mid second gear through top of fourth. Still at 12-13 psi lsd still not installed. I am happy. He is an asshole though so i cant wait to beat him.

Gangreens14....are you local to Tampa or did you travel to see Martin? I see that your location says N.E. FL. Just wondering.
Martin tuned my car as well, pricey, but well worth it. Also, there is a guy on Zilvia selling eagle rods a wiseco pistons for $600 if you're interested.
You know, somebody actually complimented me on my driving today. They left a little note on the windshield, it said 'Parking Fine.'

i already have cp pistons but stock rods. I drove to see him i live near orlando. He was really expensive but he has helped me through so much i would consider him a friend at this point. He is the go to guy for ka24de tuning. Wish the z fever dyno would let you run it in 4th id have made 315hp... maybe haha
