You cut them??? Ouch - Man a good set of drop springs cost no more than $200 brand new - and around half for used!
Dont push your luck on some cheap cut springs!
I understand when money is tight, but that just means you have to wait longer to get it done right. Your brand new kyb's will be blown in 3months no doubt, and your car is so low that now the geometry is shot to **** and your car handles worse than it did when it was stock. But if you wanted it slammed, you got it. Good luck with the car bro
I'd just like to through my $.02 in about cut springs.....I've cut lowering springs on a car I had (turbo charged focus, FK lowering springs and dampners) and it didn't bounce...it didn't blow my shocks out....it didn't make my car suddenly spin off the road.... Just use your head about it. I cut about a coil and a quarter out of the rears. You can take some material off (not saying cut your springs by half their length) without ill effect. For a street driven car that saw occasional track time they worked great.
On the other hand.....if this was my track only car, a car I was pushing it's handling limits to the very edge everytime I was in it, I think I'd have left them from the factory or upgraded.
Dorifto: take some daylight pictures so the flash doesn't light up the wheel wells so much. I bet your car looks great!
yea i cut my stocker springs and drove around on them for like a week or two because my coilovers were in the mail. Just wanted to see the drop before hand lol. Cut springs are terrible. Maybe i cut mine more than you but mine would move in the housing lol and make grinding noise when i turned the wheel super sharp.
Look at my mods here: The 93 coupe is my pride and joy.
power to ya, i use to be 17, if cutting them is what it takes more power to ya, Im now have my paycheck and all it takes is money, its sad, but it does.
