I'm having problems with a misfire right as the boost comes up. Just like a rev limiter at 5k. After about 20 pulls on the dyno, we gave up. First thought it was the CAS issue. So we cut a new 12-1 disc for the cas and that did not fix it. Thought maybe it was a problem with the ignition setup, so I ditched the twinfire and cbr coils. Went back to a distributor and a MSD 10 box. Sick spark, but did not fix the problem. Looking at the AEM EMS right now. Good news is that it already made over 300hp at 4600 and only 7psi. The torque is still on a steep rise at that point. Looks like it is going to make peak power around 7500. Should be getting close to 700 at 24 psi, which is better than I thought. Now if I can figure this problem out...

Steve, I recently experienced a misfire issue I was blaming on my BCS (dont ask why) and it turned out to be the spark plug wires not being seated onto the spark plug tight enough. Im using LS1 coils and wires which are used on fatter spark plugs, our KA's use smaller or thinner spark plugs so the boot with the contact in it was actually seating itself on the body of the spark plug instead of the metal tip. I can still boost to about 4000rpm or 14psi before it misfire because the spark is so strong but after that it falls on its face. So monday Im either gonna try to cut and fab the stock wires to fit or buy a new set and figure something out.
Anyway, my point is, if I remember correctly you were using motorcycle coils? Maybe they arent seated all the way. Maybe try rigging the stock spark plug wires with the coils and give it a go.

I have to cut and reuse the part that plugs into the distributor. That boot is molded or "welded" with rubber so it IS NOT as easy as modifying an aftermarket set of wires. The part that sits on the spark plug in the valve cover I dont even have to touch. Please examine the stock wires before reposting.

I know what you are saying, I ended up machining down the cbr coils to contact the plugs better. I also installed a MSD 10 and going back to a distributor, no luck. I am leaning towards interference in the wiring somewhere, so I am making a new harness. I have alot of other things going on right now, but I'm shooting for getting it back on the dyno by the end of the month.
Awesome.
I fixed the misfire issue. It was the ignition wires not seating on the plug all the way. I ended up hacking up the stock plug wires which was fun but it solved the problem and the car runs better than ever. Took it for a spin and it pulls like a dream. Now all of a sudden my thermostat isnt opening and Im overheating. Great.
