why not? how can you screw up cutting a bumper?

what I want to see is someone glass a liped edje on the cut part of the bumper to kind of match the stock lip that goes in.. you know what I mean, to make it that stock professional look.
now get on that right away and stop staring at her ass

It says NODRFT, as in http://www.nodrft.com

I'm installing an FC oil cooler to help out on those hot track days, and the oil cooler is 22x4.5x2. Being that size I've only found one place to mount it. Right behind the front bumper support. It needs some sort of airflow. My car is more function over form.

the oil cooler

Lance, don't cut your bumper! It looks real good the way it is.

Have you thought of doing some simple ducting to divert air to the oil cooler?

Also, can you PM me with some pics of your oil cooler set-up (when it's finished)? I'm considering doing it this summer and I'm trying to see how other people have done it.

Thanks!

Well went for a cruise last night and cruise temps were rock solid at 167. They would normally fluctuate a few degrees up and down. It wasnt until I was sitting in the drive thru that the temps started to go up a bit. So it does have its advantages. The disadvantages is that the intercooler is more exposed so I get a lot more looks at the front end rather than the wheels. And sitting in the left turning lane, all the dumbs kids coming my way see it and start to floor their sunfires and cobalts like they are fast. ....silly ricers.

damn lance, you cut perfect right angles. Looks good, hopefully this will help keep temps down on our track days. Happen to notice any difference in oil capacity with this setup? Also post pics of your line routing.......thanks ngr

kings blend-I assumed it would help temps a lot.

MyRedS14- there's no way to duct air to it, being that the S13 chuki bumper is probably the most restrictive compared to the other OEM bumpers. It would be perfect to fit behind a grill but I have none. Plus having extra air flow to the raidator would be benificial. Keep in mind this car sees an extreme amount of abuse, between auto-x, drag, drifting, and road racing. I'm looking for the most efficient solution, my bumpers just gonna have to take one for the team.

Rob- that's just a little paint work, meeting Kim at the shop to do some cutting, am still waiting on the block sandwich adaptor and relocation. From some measurements of the oil cooler and lines, oil capacity should be increased by 1.5qts, or close to it.

Looks very good IMO, nice clean line, BUT I think you should cut out the part of the bumper that sticks in towards the intercooler.

I'll post pics of mine, it should be done in a day or two. Mine will look like my intercooler but it is actually the oil cooler sitting on top of the intercooler. The intercooler stops where the opening stops.

Kings Blend- I would try to add some ducting around the cut-out area meeting up with the intercooler. You don't want the air to hit it and flow around it, force it through no matter if she says nooo.....uuuummmmmm....I mean
