that second one looks like silver paint hence the overspray on the cardboard its sitting on.. and the paper in the holes

the 2nd one has been sanded to get all the bumps out and then polished.... a lot. then the center sprayed black and then high temp clear over all of it so that it can be touched without having to repolish all the time.

Did mine in purple with some left over paint, way better than the OEM peeling finish.

i dont think i have a good pic of mine. its just black with polished lettering (or rather, i just sanded off the paint so they are bare metal - but they were cleared over).
my next one is gonna be fully polished and clearcoated for easy cleaning, along with the intake manifold, upper and lower timing covers, lower water neck, compressor housing, and all my piping. maybe even do polished hard radiator pipes if i can.
it will also get the lettering shaved off of it too for a smooth look, and im going to grind off all of the holes that were used for the spark plug wire holders since i don't use those anymore. the intake will get all of the unused mounting holes and casting marks ground off as well.

going all out eh dan? lol
yeah, when i put my rebuilt motor in i had piloshed all the front timing covers, waterneck, and painted the intake mani. and yes. the clear coat helps so much to keep away the water marks and finger prints on the VC
