Almost done....

Post by southjrz240 »

well after letting my car sit for a year and a half after my built motor popped i got inspired to put the car back together....

well....i tore it down to a bare shell and started allll over...
-painted the engine bay black and then dropped the motor in.
-re-wired everything
-taking my grand old time haha

worst thing/best thing i ever did was buy a bike... u can go super fast and beat the hell out of it and it never breaks... THAT is why this car has been sitting...

anyways, here are some pics:

when i bought it stock....
Image
Turbo'd it and Silvia front end swap.
Image

Trailered it to Daytona to my uncles shop to paint it

Painted

right now it looks like....

and this is why i have not had the car on the road. Stunting, Tracking, 170mph and never breaking is great!!

^^^ It ran a 12.2 on 10psi from a gt32 iirc, so it has my respect no matter what it looks like.

I never did understand why nobody likes the sil80 front end on the hatchback anyway? Looks ok to me.

Don't kill yourself on that bike man, and get that car back on the road.

yours didn't? ouch! that thing was a pretty penny too...

Ya i just have a stocker with head studs and gasket. I just wanna run all the time, so i'm looking for high to mid 11's, lots of burnouts and good times. I have way too much time and money invested in this car for it to sit under a cover.

the color is galaxy blue pearl, by lexus.

Thanks for the feedback guys, it's good to be back. Now lets motivate Structure240sx and every other ka-t'er that has unfinished cars to get them on the damn road!

I'm really looking forward to receiving your legendary GT32!! The wait is killing me.

How'd your built engine blow before?

+2

I totally agree. I don't like the flippy headlights on S13's. They bother me. Especially pignosed ones. Makes me think of mullets and butt rock... from an era that ought to be put behind us. The Sil80 look is a lot better IMO.

However... done right, on a domestic (Pontiac), all primer, with a thong hanging from the rearview... flippy headlights have a certain kitsch appeal.
On FA as slow240.

KA-T project: COMPLETE! Parts getting fabbed up to work together 06/07/08. Install pending arrival of Fuel Pump and BOV. Should have boost by July!

5/2011 - Lol, totally didn't! I do have two kids though.
