There is no turbo, ...yet
After a year without the motor in the car, it started on the first try and everything on the car worked.
Finally found some headlights, put some drop springs on.
And some z32tt wheels with 20mm spacers.

seriously, i dont think my stock even has that much flushnessproricanracer wrote:damn, that's some nice flushness you got with the fender hood and bumper fitment. It's hard to get fitment that good when you have bad front end damage.

So i finally got the car running good and all the little bugs worked out. The first couple of test drives went very well, motor felt really strong.
Yesterday i got in the car and started it up and noticed what i thought was a little timing chain noise, which is common on these damn motors. Anyway, i am listening to it and rev it a little and as the rpm's come down it sounds like a couple of marbles bouncing around in there and i am thinking " O SH!T!. I figured it was the guides making the noise so i let it cool down and start taking stuff off to get to the guides. When i pull the distributor cap off to remove the distributor, this is what i found!
If you can't tell, the rotor is totally destroyed. When i pulled the cap off, about 10 small pieces of plastic fell out. This was the source of the noise, since someone else had already removed the guides.
I am still scratching my head trying to figure out how this happened and how the car even ran with this in it. Gonna put another one in it today and see what happens.

So, it's been a few months since my last update. Since then i have swapped out 2 transmissions
The auto decided to take a shat on me, so, since it is (edit...WAS) my wifes car i wanted to put an auto back in.... MISTAKE #1. I put another one in and what a suprise, it was just as bad as the first one......(insert many curse words here). After all that, i had enough. I picked up a few goodies and now it's rockin a 5 speed, but the paint is gonna have to wait 'til spring
I got lucky and found this M/T w/ only 26,000 miles
Lightened flywheel
Underdrive crank pulley
and the end result.....yes i need a new shift knob

Wow....it's been a long time since i've updated this build. Haven't really got a whole lot done since my last post.
I bought another KA, picked up some 370cc injectors, N62 maf, an s13 ecu and built my own OBDII to OBDI conversion harness.
It's ugly, but not for long....
Pulling off all emissions....
I still have to close off the holes....
I hope to get these closed up by the end of the week. Anyway... later guys.

Got a little more work done today. I tapped and plugged the PCV ports. The reason for this is my S13 always seemed to have boost leaks here and i got tired of f***** with it so, problem solved.
And capped this as well....forgot what it is called (and too tired to look it up).
I'm also thinking of tapping this hole and use it as a vac. source for a BOV.....do you guys think this would be a good place to do so?
I also cleaned up the block and timing covers and gave them a fresh coat of Dupli-color Aluminum engine enamel.....turned out better than i expected.
Assembly will have to wait until i figure out what cams i wanna use.
I have a couple of s13 and s14 cams to choose from. I'm thinking 248/232, but i am open to suggestions..

Wow i'm impressed! the car looks awesome, great job welding. From the pictures it looks like everything matched up quite well. The OBDII to OBDI conversion harness for the ecu is a daunting task. I ended up buying one from "adamky" because I didnt have the ballz to do it myself haha. The motor is looking good too. Keep up the good work!
