New drop and exhaust!

Post by boot'S13 »

i had my Megan Racing coils sittin in my room for the longest time and decided to put them on this week. along with that came an Apex GT Spec exhaust (i think) i got from a guy on the chicagoarea forum. check em!

Image

thats 3.75 piping. its a little excessive lol.
Image

Image

it really surprised me how quiet this exhaust is, but i like it. where i lack in exhaust noise i will make up in sound of the turbo spoolin :D

what do ya guys think?

thanks for the comments.
yessir, about 365whp. and i was VERY surprised how effin quiet it was. i wont have any issues with johnny law now... as far as a loud exhaust goes :)
it does have a resonator on it, making it a hell of a lot quieter than my old DC sports muffler (2.25" piping, no resonator) on my NA setup lol.

oh and as far as the drop, i dont know exactly how far front/back, but going by the frame rails, i was sittin 6" off the ground. now im right at 4". im gunna drop the back a hair more still.

old pic lol.
Image

now i need to pick up some blingin ass rims yo! i was thinkin of the sportmax 002s in black with the polished lip, the gunmetal or bronze 962s (i beleive), or the 5zigen* FN01RCs in non other than bronze.

Damn, I like the way it looks lowered with those wheels and I'm serious, SLEEPER. But about the exhaust, I'm not sure what to say about 3.75, but about the tip, imo I would have preffered the tip/muffler a bit more towards the front of the car or a bigger tip like this:

But just who the hell am I to rate a 300+ car when I'm only planning on 200.
Looking bd man.

yo man, lookin good! :D

glad to see you decided to keep her!

Do you notice a power/spool difference between your short exhaust, and now?

I'm still runnin open downpipe, but I started fabricating a nice 3" side exit, with 3" highflow resonator....
exits just before the rear driver side wheel.

by the way, I have sportmax 962's in gold, you're gonna love em!

I'll take some pictures of the offsets if you want.

jeeez! the more i look at that old pic of her, the more i cant beleive i let it look like that for 3 years lol. looks like i put a lift kit on it

well i couldnt do much about positioning of the muffler since its a cat-back sold as-is, and i didnt feel like cutting and re-welding all of the hangers just to scoot it an inch or two...

I wouldnt exactly call Spomax Baller  Falken FN's are sweet but I am more partial to the Hanabi's since not as many have them adn they are still one piece and light. If I was you I would look into getting some work wheels, they are for sale used all over the place.

i was jokin with the "baller" thing btw.

anyways its a toss-up between the sportmax 002s, the 962s*, and the FN01RCs i guess. im unsure on any of the sizes or offsets right now.

and i love the bronze or gunmetal Work wheels, those split-five-spokes. i think those are the ones ur referring to. the thing is, i havent seen em on any fastbacks really. im not sure how they would look...?
if u have pics, post em please :)

looks waaay better now man ..i would leave the height alone till you get your rims then adjust it accordingly. if you lower it more in the back now it will look uneven and cars that sit lower in the back than the front IMO look wack ...

Looks good keep it that way. The sleeper look is cool but it would be nice to have some wheels with more meat on them for hooking up.
