my 240sx build (update after 4 years)[motor/trans in]
well i posted this on my local forum but i figured y not post it on here also since it will be ka-t.
Well just to start my name is aaron.I am aiming for 350-400 hp.I started collecting parts about a month ago.I have pics of all my progress so far I will post up some of them to get up to speed to where im at currently in the build.I am hoping to have this done in 6 months (we all know how that goes when you run into something to set you back)hopefully it wont be to bad. Also it is my daily driver so i need as little down time as possible.
Here are a couple pics of the car i will be working on: 1990 240sx Hatch
yes i know its a auto i wil be doing a 5 speed swap also so we know what that means even more money to spend befor turbo.
well my motor build started one day when i picked this up for 150 bucks with a manual trans.i was told it had a knocking rod so i figured it would be a good buy since i plan on rebuilding any way so why not?
more pics to come after i go through all of them again.

got the block to the machine shop and this is what it looked like when i got it back
I had it checked and cleaned and 20 over bore and honed
when i got it back i changed the freeze plugs and painted it
I took the block to the people we use through work they have good service.for all the work at the machine shop it cost me 150 dollars and the freeze plugs were 4 dollars and the paint was like 7 dollars.so my total spent so far is 311 dollars.

well i was at the junkyard one day hoping to get lucky and find anything i needed or could use.it was my lucky day i picked all this up for 28 dollars
a complete harness un touched almost it was missing 1 connector but i found it on another one that was destroyed so i got it from there along with the rest of the connectors just in case.so i soldered the connector in and retaped the harness its good to go.i didnt really need the injectors but i got them anyway cause you never know.and plus it was only 28 bucks for a harness and 4 injectors.
total spent so far 339 dollars
