Good work Alonso.

Here is a speedo camera pull in 4th gear. I still don't have the balls to really redline 4th gear. I have to get use to it.

Hey buddy, which version of megasquirt are you running? Youre on the PNP if i remember correctly, its been a while. Which coil packs??

Im upgrading to a similar setup with MS2v3, T4, heat sink LS2 coil packs.. wondering if your map was close enough to use as a starting point.

Well, long story short, I could smash second gear and 3rd but then started grinding and eventually could not slam in. Here's the reason why. May buy mazworx crossmember or weld back and strengthen it.

save your money...find a crossmember for an automatic transmission and hold it up in place. You'll see what needs to be done

FYI, I had to heavily modify my Mazworx crossmember to make it fit, and I know of at least one other member on here who had to do the same.

just weld the tranny to the frame xD ahahahahahaha or else just put some wheels on it and let it slide under the car. lololol....

just fcking around, but i think that maybe some home made steel support would do the best job. and with your hp i wouldn't go for some thin iron. what i see from your picture it looks like maybe 8/10 mm aluminium/steel? i would get a 15mm inox plate, cut it and bend it to shape. also fortify the bolts area cuz the vibrations break any steel easy if the hole i too clso to the edge.

don't know much about cars, but i work with steel alot and i see all kinds of stuff.

your choice, but i wouldn't go with the mazworx if there are already people complaining about fitment.

good luck with it;-)

ps: wanna see some more pull vids and also the 4th in redline xD muehehehehehe

Thanks gamepro.

I bought an auto crossmember before I left to Vegas for a conference. I am heading back now but won't be able to get under the car until next week maybe. If not, then not till after Turkey Day. I am going to Bahamas the 14th for the weekend. Hope I can get her running soon.

So basically he gutted the t stat. Just Checking. The only other pic I could find showe'd lines pointing the the middle of the spring but couldn't find the finished priduct. Yours is totally different.

I did the same thing. Other option is to leave the spring in and drill holes on the outer rim of the t stat.

Im gonna gut mine since I've cut the spring already. And that will give me enough flow to stay cool and enough blockage to warm up things. I've had brand new t stats get stuck in the closed position

I'm always confused when I hear about so many thermostat issues on these motors. I guess I've just been lucky, but I've only replaced my tstat 2 or 3 times in 13 years of ownership, and have never had an issue where I felt I needed to mod mine in any way. Does this become necessary with the extra heat from turbo components?

What made me gut mine was the air pockets we generally see when we first startup after cooling system has been messed with. After I rebuilt this motor, I took it for a test drive and temps shot up. I then tried bleeding it and got fed up. I can get away with it since I rarely see below 50* weather.

Just watch a turbonetics tnx series turbo. The Damn thing was spun by hand and spun for minutes. It's made for very low drag and very high efficiency. What you think about this supa? I got me a yukon denali to drive so after xmas I'm changing pistons and doing a head build. You know my company Honeywell is over garrett turbo now and they are also making low drag high efficient turbos. We even have a dual turbo made in one. I'm trying to get the most power in between 5-600hp, fast spool on the least amount of boost. Anybody got any good turbo suggestions on the latest models that's out right now?

All this technology basically eliminates lag issues. The only issue with this is that these turbo's run $1500+ brand new. If I was racing for money/competition, I would invest. Look up Comp oiless turbo's.
