Yes JWT tunes the sohc. They actually have more R&D in the sohc than the dohc.

Looks very good for a DIY - this this your first shot at a cage?

Dont listen to all the asshole 'members' on here. I started this site as a place for exactly what you were trying to do - get creative constructive input from others in the community. I did not create it as a means and locale for some damn know it all to talk smack and hijack a thread. Honestly guys - shut the hell up.

Keep up the good work dude - I honestly prefer a cage that is not tight against the car - it makes welding much easier, just be sure to put padding on it to keep from scratching the helmet up.

looks good man. nice driving as well. nice and smooth. when following its kinda hard. you wana aim for their door or fender, but at the same time run your own line. it takes a lot of seat time. I can't wait to tandem and try out my ka on a jwt ecu 8)

keep it up. mineral wells looks like a blast!

In the video you say the SOHC is the worst engine as far building a 240sx right? So i got a question, a newb like me who never has built a engine before, is it safe to say dont try to turbo the ka24e and wait for ka24de etc? or go for the ka24e, the biggest thing i ever done was a 5 speed swap by myself diving head first into it and i got it done in 2 weeks.

so im good around tools and following directions and tips, im not into drift but i like watching it, i really just like modifying i can car less for power and racing, i'll never have time to do that stuff,

i just want a 1-80whp-200whp+ 240sx, 240sx is my favorite car that why i intend to keep it and modify it. I like the tuner scene though but never go cause i feel left behind, im trying to catch up but i keep getting deployed, im sitting on some good doe right now and im just trying to get the best tips.

I read the whole 240sx manual and i'll read it again over and over lol i just like this stuff and want to learn

Well i was saying that to be sarcastic. Just kind of making fun of sr's and honda fanboy stuff. The sohc and dohc ka's are a lot alike and id say go with which ever one you already have. I have had both and the only reason i chose sohc is because i wanted to be different and dumb and had something to prove for us guys. I will say that to turbo a dohc is a little cheaper but not unless you already have one.

Picked up some new sponsors

Drove Rd 2 of the ProAm Lonestar Drift series qualifying 4th and placing 5th. Drove like an idiot and blew a turbo and lost a mounting nut on the turbo so had a huge boost leak.

Got a new Garrett and got it mounted up yesterday. Drove it and it feels way laggy and wish i would have gone smaller. Any recommendations?

Ok guys so Sunday 7/24 we went and competed in the Stick To Drfting Battle Royale event. The day of, we discovered my manifold had some extreme cracks but chose to drive the car anyways. Somehow managed to qualify 1st and finish first and win some cash. These are a few pics for fun.

also are you running any steering angle mods on the s14? ive really been feeling the need/want for more angle in my slides.

I think thats so awesome! Ya I have come a long way with cars but I think this is my first competitive car so i plan to keep it. I dont have any more current pics than whats on the front page.. Ill try and find some though. Also for my front suspension its MA motorsports knuckles, removed factory bumpstops, gusseted lower control arms, inner rack spacers, extended oem outer tie rods. Right now it has a very conservative 52* and I rarely hit that fully. I could prob make 60* out of it but right now nothing rubs so ill leave it. Its plenty.

dude your the effin man. thank you so much. this is exactly what i need to do, my core drops about 2" below the bottom part of the rad support and ive hit it plenty of times. really appreciate the pics, i have the same core so its great to see it all fits. only MAJOR problem i have is, i drive on the street all the time so i prefer to have a bumper bar. not gonna happen with the placement of the end tanks huh. i guess well c if i can rig something.

ps. god damn that chick is hot. it hurts my brain.

Cage came out sick man, If that were the first cage I was going to build I doubt it come anywhere close to that!

As for Turnstyles your question about the KAe and KAde, Ive had both and to be honest the DE ran like crap for most of its life, ofcourse Im sure for reasons I didnt address, but with almost an identical setup on the KAE, It's been running solid everyday(yes I daily drive it) on 10-12 psi and it has been amazing, Not to mention it has 172,000 miles on it. Running solid for about 9 months now boosted. Its definately making more than 220whp, seeing as I just dusted a SRT8 Challenger on my way to work this morning.

Seems to be exactly what youre looking for. Havent had anything but good things to say about the sohc. The best part is I was able to pick up spare motors for basically the change in my pocket, one guy delivered one to me at my house for $50.
