Thanks KoukiKat - glad someone <3's my obsession lol.

My paychecks are actually shyte - after bills maybe $80 a week towards the car. I just prowl many forums for deals and apparently find lots lol. Bought the whole aeromotive setup, with an fittings and nylon braided lines, fpr, filter, y block, a1000 pump, 550cc injectors and fuel rail for $400 lol. Z33 tranny for $130. 3 free S14 KA's so far lol. Welder with full tank, cart, 10 spools, 3 liners was $300 etc etc. That green lifted XJ jeep up top cost me $1300 total lol. DEALS ftw.

I've found that if you help people out with what you know, rather than hoard everything, development and good things happen. Like I had a S14 KA auto bellhousing donated as well as 12"x12"x3/4" 6061 plate donated so I can make the KA-Z33 adaptor plate happen. (I'm 100% down for donated stuff :D)

I will for sure post up my 3DCAD drawings/part/assemblies when I'm satisfied with their accuracy.. I wish some already existed to help me out because it takes FOREVER to blueprint ****.

From what I can find, they are forged. And if I could find more information on them (old school guys haven't figured out the internetz for the majority of LD20T parts) but APPARENTLY the LD20Tii diesel crank is superstrength of the L20B, which is already beef. If I can find one, I will be using it, but its fawking hard to find anything about them.

As far as tools, I have been around tools since I was 6 so I value the importance of buying good tools once rather than china **** 100 times. Getting my dad's tradesman discount on them doesnt hurt but its still a fair fortune.

Also that 510realm post is by the guy I've been talking to about this. Also the guy that is sending me a L20B crank lol. Mike is a smart feller.

I think the spacing of the bore centers on the L20 vs KA and thus the journal centers could be an issue with that crank. Hopefully not, but I guess you'll find out soon enough. A budget option like that would be nice.

Thats the first time I've actually seen the 3rd page of that 510Realm page lol

But I am slightly at ease now that fo0manchu posted up the pictures and the fact that he had it bolted into his block.

I've calmed down my giddy a bit and will drop my 9000 rpm goal to 8000 for starters, but I will continue to push it as far as possible and get into the ATI , BHJ harmonic dampener game as money comes along.

My L20B crank from in town fell through :( time to find another.

Had a few hours to work on the Z (I need a good name for her)..

Drilled a crapload of holes..

Cleaned the bish.

Primed a bit

Also, bought one of these to complete my modernized suspension - JDM S14 swaybar 27mm w/ JDM S14 TC brackets. Also doubles as a rad mount and I can now order S14 sizes with install ease.. Not bad for $45 lol.

Might work on er again tonight and see how far I gets :D

They did this 10 or more years back in Japan. A black s30 with a r26 AWD. I think it was called Nakayama. Suspension as well.

I kinda like it lol. And it doesn't mean anything relevant to cars:

Wiki: S34 may refer to :

Blériot-SPAD S.34, a 1920 French twin-seat, single-engine biplane aircraft
County Route S34 (California)
USS S-34 (SS-139), an S-class submarine of the United States Navy

S34Z is a winner so far lol

Also, I can't find any infor on this nakayam s34??

Your build reminds of this one I was watching awhile back. Go from Part 1 to latest.

Oh yah i've seen that one - soo sick.

But I'm pretty sure he didn't have R34 suspension, or S13/14 for that matter.

Tonight I'm going to watch that guys build part 1 - i saw at least part 19 lol. What a good way to document a build..

We could fabricate one of a kind it is ussaly the same price unless is something very complicated.Get you engine mounted and then send me some pics fron diferent angles and one from the top and then we figure out how to fab rhe manifold. This in case the one we have dont fit.If you need an intake I have a smaller plenum that make fit in there without any mods.

BTW you have an extra set of front strut for that car.

Oh my god.
You, sir, are my new hero.

I've been wanting to pick up a Z (and a garage for her) for the longest time.
I'm trying to get one with a house attached too (for my woman mostly).

Damn. This is beautiful. I'm going to watch this, and probably try to steal some of your ideas when I start mine.

Proposition: KA24>SR20.

Proof: Assume that K,A,S, and R are integers, and suppose that K=S+R, and A=R, therefore KA24>SR20.

Sorry for the delay boys..

My co-op term ended so I took the gf to Santa Maria, Cuba to celebrate. Things got silly and we had drinking team tshirts made up for the group lol.

Image

Did a bit more cleaning up on the underside the day I got back.

Image
Image

Started on the passenger side.

Image

Made plans to have some guys come over and get both floors done on Monday night. Monday morning on the way to work going about 80 clicks down a street, this happened. I had to countersteer and the jeep was on about a 20 degree angle while going straight down the road. Scary ****.

Insurance doesn't cover mechanical failures. Ghey. Tuesday morning picked this up from my buddy JP for a good deal - should be a fairly sick daily.

progress is looking good. Theres a guy down here trying to sell a 240z for 4k(not saying i would pay that much). I really want it but i dont have the space to tear it down to fix its rust issues. Im also glad you found yourself a nissan dd instead of that "cough" stupid "cough" jeep. Have fun with the floor.

looks like the salt has to blame. the suspension broke out. Did this use a c-clamp to mount the suspension to the frame?

Or he must have launched it @ 7000.

I guess it's a bit common in my generation of WJ. The suspension mount at the frame rots from the inside and **** like this happens lol. If jeep hadn't made a critical mount out of paper mâché I would still hate driving it - mileage was terrible - 12 mpg.

Mohish I wouldn't write the jeep off if it was just a driveshaft - the axle moved far enough back that the slipyoke on the driveshaft wasnt long enough n fell out.

The Spec V is good and low though lol I had to remove bumper to get onto the Etest dyno :D alot different than a 4" lifted WJ lol.

Ka4life - 4 g's should be an almost rust free Z.. I paid $700 for mine. But I support any Z anyone purchases haha

Hey guys sorry for the delays. School is a b*tch this semester.

I'm going to fit the passenger floor tomorrow and wanted to know if tack welds 1" apart along the top seam and lower seam all around is legit enough for floors. (If thats worded wierd I mean that the sheets overlap and to weld top seam and bottom seam).

I don't see anything wrong with that but have to ask the pro's..
