Cheap is a relative term. If they had a whole engine package for $4000, it is worth it. Would have been for my application. Sourcing parts and doing things yourself can sometimes prove to be more expensive in the long run. Refer to video in my sig.

Finally got a chance to get Hectors S14 on the rollers. Put down an impressive 842whp and 679wtq using a Borg Warner s400sx3 67mm turbo and a RaceLAB built KA24de.

It's not the one i originally made for him. This is a manifold i originally made for another project of mines and sold to him. All of the race videos of his car were done on a slightly different manifold with a single set of 1600cc injectors. We had switched to this and two sets of ID1000's and a couple of other things but productivity on the car stopped before we could get it back up 100%

He is a manager at a local Auto Part Store. He definitely isn't balling. Hes built the car over a long period of time with hard earned cash.

Could someone point me in the right direction to find something like that coolant hose setup? Or any info on it?

I am waiting to see if the car ran yesterday. They were headed to the track. I did not go to the event because it was raining but it cleared up around 3pm.

Not my car, and I don't know for sure, so I'm guessing its a -14AN? custom weld job on a SR20 Mishimoto radiator. Custom job. So you will have to weld on the AN to the water neck on the intake as well.

I really want to do something like that, but my stick welder isn't built for aluminum. You want to find a good tig welder.

I'm guessing they went SR20 Radiator because they are a lot easier/cheaper to find in Florida then Koyo KA Radiators. Either that, or the Customer had a SR engine before hand.

Thanks walper, I knew it was def an sr radiator, was just wondering how the fittings were mated to it. But after some research of my own it looks like you are right. I actually like how the top hose is on the opposite side from normal. Absolutely stunning engine bay, I hope mine will come out that clean.

is a -16 fitting and i went with a sr radiator cause the ka radiator has the top water outlet on the thottle body side and the space will come a little hard to fit the -16 fitting and also the way of the lines run i didnt like them to much

We switched the turbo out for an s372 just to see the difference but we felt the gains weren't enough to justify running a 5mm bigger turbo so it will stay on the s400sx3 67mm.... for now.

That car must be a blast to drive and the power doesn't fall until pretty high up, well done.

well, you have convinced me with that graph to do dual valve springs, i have been on stock springs forever and rev daily to 7500 but another 800rpm would be real nice considering my power isnt falling off at all

stock crank and crank pulley? I've been told the ka doesn't like to see above 8k. What has been done to make that safe?

Super sick build though, you can certainly tell the build has an amazing eye for detail and well the dyno does the talking.
