Re: cams never ending build chicago
Well after a long break from the car I am finally back on the horse and getting this thing done!... Got some things figured out, I had talked to a buddy who has a bmw m3 pushing 900hp we were going over my setup and he was explaining to me that I could possibly have some trouble with the amount of boost I'm planning on pushing with injector orings coming unseated from the intake manifold since im running top feed ID1000 with denso lower cushions. Well I have to much time and money invested to have any issues when I get this on the road so I decided to have a friend fab me some plugs on the injector bosses to make them plug in the same way as they do on the fuel rail to eliminate any issues. Heres the idea I'm sure many of you ka-t people have been through this build before as many times as I have. http://www.turbomagazine.com/tech/turp_ ... _build_up/
This is what I am in the middle of doing to the injector bosses

Re: cams never ending build chicago
Well finally getting some motivation going on the project again trying to get valve lash set for my bc272 cams its a pain ordered some shims from nissan still need 3 other ones to get the exhaust side done. Intake side is all squared away. Ordered my JWT adjustable cam gears and finally bit the bullet and ordered a xcessive oil pan thinking of getting the tomei sr20 pan. Decided to change up the catch can setup and the coolant overflow because I hate both of them so will get some pics of it when I get a chance.

I was pretty happy with my results now need the cam gears. Also ordered a dial indicator from my snap-on guy to get the cams degreeded. The shims that have the holes in them came from my nissan dealer im guessing they put holes in for oiling? any ideas just curious

They can with stand 200,000 psi of pressure coming down on them from the valves and they disperse heat very well

Re: cams never ending build chicago
Here is the exhaust all done with the exception of the o2 bung and egt bung
my ipod takes **** photos but it's 3" all the way from turbo to the muffler which is a apexi n1 tip that was fitted to the exhaust.
And here is my bc stage3 cams in the head set to stock setting and upper timing cover installed with the jwt adjustable cam gears

Re: cams never ending build chicago
So I have been soooo busy at my collision repair shop latley I have had no time to get anything on my car done. But I have found time to beef up my tool arsenal just acquired a brand new sata 4000b gravity feed gun set me back about 650 but the finish with this gun I second to none imo. Also got my cams dialed in, will be getting my circuit sport sr sump for my excessive pan. Also added a accuspray HG-09 primer gun to my collection amazing primer gun. Should have my intake back soon from the guy welding it up hopefully so I can get that and my intercooler piping back on and get my new coolant over flow installed.

Re: cams never ending build chicago
Figured id get some good pictures of the downpipe all 3" vband setup fully tig welded with o2 sensor and egt sensor. Also got my tach 5" autometer w/ shift light. The fit of the downpipe is pretty nice clears steering shaft by alot and has good distance from the brake fluid resivoir which was a big concern to me. I will take the extra caution and make a nice aluminum deflector for the master cylinder.

Re: cams never ending build chicago
In the back left is my SATA JET 4000 with 1.4 tip for base coat, in the back right is my IWATA SUPERNOVA LS400 clear coat gun with 1.3, In the middle is a 3m accuspray that uses a 1.8 for primer and a 1.4 for sealer
This is the primer/sealer gun clear plastic is primer orange is sealer.
I love these things they are my money makers
All guns utilize the 3m pps system
