Yes these were BC. i did the whole BC valve train train myself with the help of my professor who double checked all my work. The break in the valve was .049 of a break so BC said that it either hit the piston, the valve got stuck open, or from overheating. To me the break was perfect of were the valve head is welded to the stem. Either way BC replaced all the valves, the springs and retainers from that cylinder.

Damn I always thought the valves where one piece not welded.

ya they are two piece valves but are still good valves and BC has great customer service so i really couldnt complain.

finally started working on my engine!!

you can see were it broke on this new one-_- butttt i should have it running by the end of the week!!

Your built is pretty damn cool... I hope you don't plan on running anything BC anymore.

well im gonna still use these BC valve train just cuz i put alot of money into it lol but heres some other goodies that i have for my baby!

pick up this body kit for cheap and the only thing was wrong with it way the front bumper so i started to fix it and just need to bondo and sand now

once i get it running and broke in then i can start to finally use this stuff!!

Good coverage of the build, I'll be keepin an eye on this since I'm going to be startin work on my own KA soon as I get my tax return =D

yucky. its your money you do what you want with it. But myself, I wouldn't cheap out on moving parts. I love the progress, keep it going.

What color are you going to paint the car after you get the kit on?

ya well everything is new in the head so it shouldnt drop a valve again! lol
but all i have to do is wire up my electric fans, put the transmission on and a few other little things!

as far as color im not to sure yet-_- dont know if i should keep buying turbo parts and turbo it or start prep for paint but imma break it in nice and easy

^^^^^^there are some that believe that breaking it in easy is bad because it doesn't fully seat the rings. I used the motoman breakin method. Check it out.

Well im happy to say that I used the Motoman method to break in my engine!!!
I have a video of the first start up then i have it when i was trying to fix my idle on facebook so heres those links:
