Yeah I think my iacv has gone to poop. I was talking to 500hpka240sx on xbox live and was telling me about cleaning it out. I may do that or just try to get my idle around 1100. a high idle wouldnt besuch a bad thing if it keeps it from stalling.

Little update of whats been going on, gave my neighbor a ride in my car and did a small pull with a 350z. I had spark blowout like a mofo (1step colder plugs) they were great plugs for 9psi but up past 11psi they are poop so hopefully another step colder should do the trick.

Also fixed some slack in my gas pedal which makes me wonder if I was ever getting truly WOT. I have a short video I took of getting on the highway hopefully my GoPro got most of the footage before filling up the memory card. Ill upload that as soon as I can.

You're a maniac.
Stock block at 16psi.
That must feel awesome.

I'm running a very similar setup on a stock block, and I've been nervous to crank it up to 12 psi. I guess i need to grow a pair. LOL

Do you know what timing your enthalpy ecu is running at 16psi?

Hah thanks man it feels really good. Im at the point where I want to push the limits, esp. being on 91 octane lol. I've got no clue what my timing is with the Enthalpy ecu so sorry about that. :? I wish I knew, its beautifully done. Hats off to Enthalpy if they ever come across my thread. :)

The more I look into the picture I took I also notice Im making 16psi before 4k rpms in 5th gear lol and my temp gauge looks good! (Not spiked up to hot)

Nice! I have that same boost gauge. I wonder how much timing it's running also. I'm sure it's very conservative, I'll do a pull with ECU talk to check. I'm only running 13 lbs though.

Re: mmmS13's Backwards build. UPDATE

Post by mmmS13 » Fri Jul 19, 2013 3:29 am

Well, I've been away for a little while so I figured I'd update on whats been going on with the car and whatnot. So I finally fixed the idle by bumping it up to 1100 rpms. Now it doesn't stall which makes me a happy camper. :angelic-blueglow: Still running 16psi on the stock block  :violence-rapidfire:
Got a lovely star smog paper in the mail thanks to the "great" state California, so the car is going to sit for awhile. :angry-teeth:
Im also in the process of joining the Navy so the car sitting isn't really a big deal to me.

Also bought some cheap spacers to see if I would need a 5, 10 or 15mm spacer in the rear for a nicer fitment. Slipped on two 5mm spacers on a corner as a test fit and my results were not too shabby. (Not driving on stacked spacers just a test fit)

Image
So now it would be 17x9 +7

So im sort of debating of keeping the car or selling it at the moment. All its going to do is sit in my driveway while im away and I kind of want to start a new project. But if I keep the car its getting a built bottom end, 18x10.5s in the rear with a nice sticky 285. Possibly even meth if I stay in Cali with this weak 91 octane.

16lbs on stock block? Very ballsy, but can pay off. A buddy of mine ran 400whp stock block for three years until it finally blew up. Best of luck man.

Thanks guys, im really playing devils advocate with this setup but as my first car/project I feel I should push the limits of it and see how well it holds.

I probably won't up the boost anymore as im still trying to figure out getting around star smog :tools-hammerdrill: which seems impossible at this point. If I do get the car back on the road it won't see more than 16psi until someone on the road beats me, unless its an obvious loss like something double my power.
