Re: hpipro4 s13 ka-t build
Did you spill the beans on your oil filter relocation / cooler setup yet? I've got the same skullworks relocation block but I've been having a hard time finding a remote filter mount with 8an in and out and a built in thermostat. I was thinking greddy but I'm not sure I can get fittings to replace the -10 ones it comes with...

Re: hpipro4 s13 ka-t build
dont have time to do a write up but this kit is basiclly what im using cept i decided to put together my own. the kit will include a how to manual. they have a forum too http://forum.caswellplating.com/drunknmunky wrote:can you show us how to do the electroplating? or reference a source?
I've seen it done on youtube but I'd like to ask how you do it.
you would need a kit like this http://www.caswellplating.com/electropl ... 5-gal.html
12v power supply that has adjustable amperage and voltage. got mine frm egay
lotz of distilled water and trial errors
Re: hpipro4 s13 ka-t build
having problem with the yellow chromate at the moment so prolly not a good idea. till i get things sorted then will talk business. seems pretty easy but its actually alot of work.picsbypenny wrote:I asked for price on every external bolt yellow chromatehpipro4 wrote:hmmm...i dunno what it was....picsbypenny wrote:i got a pm from you but it said deleted by user :/
Re: hpipro4 s13 ka-t build
yes kinda weird how it have 8an in&out. decided i stick with the 8an instead of 10an. altho, i could get 8an male to 10an male fittings but ill stick with 8an.mewantkouki wrote:Did you spill the beans on your oil filter relocation / cooler setup yet? so far i bought this to use as the oil filter block. http://www.summitracing.com/parts/prm-1761
also got a derale oil thermostat http://www.summitracing.com/parts/der-25011
i plan on using an oil cooler with 8an fittings. either egay cooler or earls.

Re: hpipro4 s13 ka-t build
found out i got another yr or so till i need smog !!!!!so im going back to building the built KA
was lurking around ebay and scored this BC intake and exhaust valves for 130shipped which i think is a steal!
i guess ill give this setrab 8an oil cooler a try. if nascar uses it im pretty sure itll work on my KA.

Any way I could get pictures of, and possibly sources on where you found all the misc sensors and stuff for the DIgital Climate Control? you can PM it to me if you have it available. I'm looking into doing it to my hatch, just have to find the little parts.
Re: hpipro4 s13 ka-t build

Re: hpipro4 s13 ka-t build

Believe me, I've done quite a bit of research. I just wanna be sure that when I find the sensors and junk that they're the right ones. I cant find any kind of write up with any kind of pictures. Its a terrible feeling

I'm curious what are your plans for return line from turbo? Are you going to weld in a bung to that pan?

Re: hpipro4 s13 ka-t build
Wow props on the spectra coat. That's a hell of a gun. What are you intending on using to fire your oven? I ordered a bunch of infared ceramic plate style burners earlier this year. Havent had the time to finish mine yet though.
Using something similar to this(10 of them) http://www.ebay.com/itm/American-Range- ... 5d4623b892
With a PID controller, Gas valve and constant on ceramic ignitors.

Re: hpipro4 s13 ka-t build
ya cant wait to use it....almost done with my oven build. im building a 120v oven since i dont have an extra 220 outlet but i can easly convert it to 220v later on. for now im going to use infrared heaters. hopefully it gets hot enough.Jmoore124 wrote:Wow props on the spectra coat. hpipro4,
Are you using the russell 697070 t2 -10 AN oil drain?
http://www.ebay.com/itm/Russell-697070- ... 1310214605
I have one but am considering not using it.
