Re: s13 coupin
Took the head up to get milled and opened up for the bigger valves, turns out the head was too far warped they didn't want to risk it. I have the s13 head also so i tore it apart, pulled the guides out and noticed where the buckets ride the walls of head 3 were pretty scratched up...i'm gonna try smoothing it out but run the risk of leaking oil past. Hmmm
And...
The xcessive intake is up for sale if anyone wants it. Never been ran just halfway installed. $400 gets it. I'm toning down what i'm shooting for power wise and i'm gonna run the stock intake manifold.
I emailed the seller I purchased the injectors from but they haven't responded. I'm trying to switch out the 1000's for some 725's
Well here's some pictures since it is a picture thread..
Yesterday just another day fishin. The beautiful and majestic Pacific Northwest King Salmon haha Steelhead and Silvers
It was 17 degrees when we showed up

Beautiful fishing pics! Those prints are massive. I am assuming they belong to a grizzly?

Re: s13 coupin
Probably a black bear. Grizz aren't really around this part of our state. I personally bumped into a black bear that was not very big at all but still made my butt pucker up real quick haha. Those are some good looking fish!

Re: s13 coupin
Thanks guys..I've been pondering the last few days on my setup an I'm kinda stuck. I'm not shootin for more than say 500hp ~450lbtq. I think my turbo is a lil on the small side for 1000cc injectors 300lph pump massive intake and 3" intercooler/piping...we have some nice wide open roads and I wanted upper end power hence the stage 2 cams bigger valves etc. am I shootin myself in the foot with what I got or will I be alright

Re: s13 coupin
well, if you want to use all those cams, and intake, you might need a larger compressor housing, especially for a goal of 500 hp. Ahh, but then again you might be there. Thing is, you can have a turbo that CAN make 600 hp but the volumetric efficiency of the engine is what will determine the final power number, VE is a main formula input for power estimation.

Re: s13 coupin
35r would be more in the range of maxxing 1000cc injectors unless you are planning to run e85. If so, then 3076r.
Re: s13 coupin
I hope you don't really want to 'max' out your injectors because from my understanding, you want to be around 85% of the duty cycle.
What some people do is overkill to be safe. Meaning, sleeve the block, 700hp rods and pistons, etc etc and limit their huge turbo by using a very good boost controller.
That way you know you're safe by a huge margin.
Most people would call it a waste of money though, but to me it pays out in the long run when you're not often breaking something.
My 1.5 cents.

Re: s13 coupin
I was plannin on this being e85 or pump just switching the maps..buutt the closer this gets I'm getting worried if I can even idle on pump gas with 1000cc's...let alone make use of the built head with a smaller turbo. Hmmmmm
Re: s13 coupin
How much would you sell the intake for?
