No its not going to change the wear rates of valve guides, as its not changing the amount of lift from the camshafts.

Question...can this be done for a SOHC? I'm changing my setup this spring. This could be useful. I'll need this at 650+ when I got FL2K15 this year. Also what kind of price? I figured a bit cheaper considering I only need one.
