That thing is huge! Looks awesome, but isn't that gonna heat up your PS fluid quite a bit?

The header it’s sitting on is for a buds car, so I can change it up a bit, its hard to make it sit lower. But I can give it more/less twist.

I would go bottom mount but the 4” intake might get in the way. I hope to fit in a 3.5” down pipe for I have all the stainless mandrel bends and two Maganaflow mufflers one round one I hope to stuff under the car and an oval one for the rear. That’s the down side of running a top mount it gets tight for the DP.

Thanks for the ATP link, 250$ L but it should help a lot, have you ever had the cold side of a turbo melt stuff? Its kind of close to my power steering tank.

No worries about the PS, the fluid inside will be hotter than the turbo it's self. Too bad you couldn't move it further forward and down a bit...
But as long as you shield it and it clears the hood, should be a-ok.
8) GT35Rs a bad mofo... should be fun

The compressor does get hot to touch but it never radiates enough heat off to melt anything. I wouldnt worry about your PS resevoir. Your could prolly relocate it some.

And now the S14 gets a new smile 24x12x3.5" does it look happy?
Its just tacked up for now, I have to cut up the bumper a bit to make sure it fits before I weld it all up.

where do you get parts for building your manifolds? stainless or mild steel? and what kind of welding are you doing?

the reason why i ask is cuz one of my friends is wanting to have a DSM manifold built (500+hp project) and everyone seems to make stainless manifolds and i would like for him to get mild steel if possible instead. i wish someone could take the SSAuto manifold that he has and redo it in mild steel.

Why do you want it in mild steel? these SS bends are so thick they should never crack (as long as the welds are deep)

IIRC doesn't mild steel have lower expansion rates than stainless? AKA less prone to cracking?

Yes that is true, but it also needs to be thicker to handle the heat for example you can make a header from .068" SS or .125" mild steel, if you made a mild steel header from .068" it would fall apart in no time.

Brad, looks good and I hope you are happy with all the parts :D
I am glad you posted this pic as I am wondering how my 24x12x4.5" core is going to fit. How much trimming did you have to do? You are running an aftermarket front bumper, but I will be using the stock jobber with the Greddy front lip. I just don't like all the overly expensive aftermarket bumpers made from fiberglass. One strike and $600 is down the drain. Here is a pic of a car I want to replicate. Beautiful in my opinion :D

They are all working out great, thanks for the good prices. I had to trim my front lip a bit… and well, as you can see no rebar. The intercooler is about ½” away from the frame rails, I had some ¼” brackets lasered up to mount it using the front bumper bolts.

I don’t know it might just fit under the bumper and lip you have shown; I don’t think you will be able to run the fog lights though.

Ill send you the cad file for the brackets and end tanks (2.5” hot side 2.75” cold side pipes)

....Well in order to fit a 3.5" down pipe I had to make this bottom mount.... not as bling as the turbo sitting up high but this will perform better.

Completely different manifold, the collector is a pain to make. The top mount is going on a buds car. he has a t3/t4 with a 3" down pipe.

I never did talk to Ivan about it but I now see why you would need this style to run big plumbing.

Hey Brad,

Nice work buddy. Few questions/comments for ya..

1) Is that an equal length design?

2) What are you doing for a waste gate?

3) Where did you get that header flange? The ports don't look "square" to match the head.
