Turbonetics also used one in the pro rwd celica.. so i hear their have been a few with over 1500whp... for some reason they went to it over the 2JZ.. extra displacement???
we are using one because they are cheap and short so they fit nice in the engine bay.
wow i see its coming along great. very sexy rear haha
dont a lot of people use the toyota 2.4L at the strip?
but i guess you can always get more from something bigger... but didnt you get an EMS for a 4 cylinder?? wont it be hard to make it work for something with more pistons?
btw, your old Z is straight sex. seeing how nice that thing is, my expectations for your celica are even higher than they were

yeah lots of people use the 4cly, we would like to make 900-1000whp and think it will be easier with the bigger 3.4L
and the AEM EMS is for a 4cly but all AEMs have outputs for 10 injectors and 5 coils... so you can run a V10 with the Honda box (waste spark)
Because we are going to cut into the tranny tunnel to make it wider, and its a auto now... we are going to use the brake pedal as the gas.. the clutch will be the brakes. Plus a willwood dual brake master cylinder will bolt right up to the clutch spot, with no mods
ive always wanted to ass an AWD all-trac setup in one of the 70's that would be crazy too . my buddy had a 70 celica but he blew the motor and junked it for 50$ im still kinda mad at him for that
There are many paths to Enlightenment: but no one said they can't be taken sideways.
89'hatch rustolum black/96'motor s13 new trans/OBD1 convert/F1 flywheel/DSS steel driveshaft/headers, testpipe, egay N1dual/ JGS poly engine, tranny/ Cory's Coil mod
Mr Brad. That 240z i saw posted earlier.... well lets say i finished when i saw it. Completely beauitful car, pretty much worthy of a Mag cover atleast. Very skillfully done. And i know this is your build and this may be way out of line for me to say, but i was looking at the back tires.... and you know when you burn out in the pit, the tires are slightly flat for increased traction. Those tires are gonna rub against your fender wells rubber on metal abit. Just thought id point out a random observation. Keep kickin @$$ with the build man.

thanks dude.
With the fenders we might move/trim them a bit more... we might also do a few shake down runs before paint, just to make sure.
Jesus that rear end is beast man. I can't believe how clean your Z was either, how long did it take you to complete it and how hard was it to get restoration parts for it?
You can lay bricks for 10 years but never be a mason; but you suck one **** and you're a ****sucker for life.

240Z are not that bad to get parts for.. this celica does not have as big of a following
it took me a year and a half to build the 240Z.. this project is taking way longer
Wow, only a year and a half for that...you're a pretty damn good fabricator. How much did you have invested in the car and was the RB converted to single turbo or still twin?
