Yeah. I was going to make a custom mani for my supercharger a long time ago. I cut it down with a ban saw then took it to my local machine shop and they finish cut it down completely flat. Well i since changed my mind and now have a rb and this thing is just collecting dust.

I actually do want it yes lol, that looks like a better cut than i could do. PM me some more pics of it, i want one with it laying flat against something, also possibly could you measure the holes? So i can see what kinda of runner options i have. What's with the third runner? Might just be the lighting. End jack, thanks for the help guys!

I just used 1.5" sched 40 aluminum pipe. Not sure what it would cost where you live, but its pretty cheap stuff.

Got the manifold on and car running, I had to make a few stretches and cut a couple corners to get things testable, but everything seems good. I need to install a longer fuel line and extend the air regulator plug to go under the manifold, but other than that its good.

I tried to do a couple pulls but im bogging above half throttle. I'll try gapping down my plugs and see what happens.

I also noticed a nice pile of oil in my intake manifold when I pulled the stock one and oil is actually pooling on the intake valves when the car is shut down, Im not quite sure how all the intake valve stem seals could go at once, but everyone of them is leaking a crap load of oil, all along I thought it was my turbo leaking oil.

Anyways, manifold works/looks good, I'll let you guys know how it turns out power wise, when I get things running properly.

I'll sell this one when I get a bigger throttle body. With the bigger TB I'll want to use longer runners to get it away from the power steering etc. I probably put 10 hours + into this one, so dont expect it to sell for too cheap... id probably want $450-500 each for these bad boys IF I ever sold one.

Here are a couple pics from install, I need to find out how necessary the air regulator and idle air valve are for a good daily driver. I know some people just pull them off with the OEM ecu, I just need to try for myself. It was easy enough to mount them to the new manifold so I did. Iphone pics.. I'll take better pics when I fix all the hoses and do a final "on car" polish job.

Image

I wanted to tuck the harness but I got impatient. If I have the manifold off again i will for sure. I just need to extend a couple plugs to reach the injectors etc.

Image

Valve stem seals much !

I replaced the fuel line, ran a few wires under the manifold, took the car for a drive and its WAAYYY faster... the top end has improved conciderably. I was hitting 58-60% airflow on the Z32 maf previously and first pull I peaked at 66% airflow even with 10.5:1 Af's. The 275" tires spin like they're wet on the dry pavement even if I stomp it half way through second. Its impressive. Im very excited to get my cam. For all the setups I've had, this has got to be as powerful as I've ever had. So I think with the cam and new injectors, 11's on streets will be cake.

A couple shots... still a bit cluttered looking, but good for now. I found a 3/4" T that was a little big for the valve cover and turned it down to a tight fit and pressed it into the valve cover so I could hook up the timing cover PCV vent, worked great.

I need some day light for better pics. I'll maybe snap some on the weekend.

Yeah, its an HKS SSQV... I'll tuck the harness one of these days, It looks good now, but I still want to go for a cleaner look. I want to switch to a billet fuel rail with steel braded lines soon too, maybe replace the PCV and brake booster hoses with steel braded as well.

Hate to do this, but I ordered a new 80mm throttle body and will be doing another one of these, i'll have to increase the size of the plenum for the new billet throttle body, so i'll be selling this manifold.

I put a buy it now of $399, if the bidding goes over $400, I can't do anything about it, so if you want it, dont bid, buy it now ;) Once people start bidding the buy it now is gone and the price can go anywhere.

Cant wait to see you build the new one.
Whats the price on the header gasket, and do you think you will come up with a
thermal gasket for the intake manifold?

I would love to get some plastic intake manifold gaskets cut, i just have to find out what material is best and figure out who is going to cut it. I believe they can cut it with a laser, I just have to find out.

I believe the stock intake manifold is one of the biggest restrictions on our KA's.

Some years back before I installed my turbo set up, I used to drive around with my vacuum/boost gauge hooked up even tho it was n/a. On WOT pulls the gauge would start showing vacuum the closer I got to redline.

On a stock tune TP would actually start dropping near redline also...Whic at the same time the car feels out of breath.

Oh yea, good job on the manifold lol

Agreed, I would have expected it to go for more especially for how many people viewed and were watching the auction. It probably wasnt smart to have it ending in the middle of the work day.

Either way, I should be able to do a bit better on my next one.
