As some of you may know im in the process of supercharging my sohc. I have yet to figure out what im going to do about a header.
my options consist of
1-finding a hot shot(unlikely)
2-buying a pacesetter(don't really like the 2 piece design)
3-I am currently running a dc sport header for my de which i could try to hack up and weld on sohc flanges (havent measured it up yet and would rather keep it in one piece to either sell or use again on another de)
4-build a customer header from scratch which would give me a chance to work on my welding/fab skills.
Im new to the fab scene and have done some welding like seat rails and some other random stuff but this would be the biggest job thus far. I have a lincoln 110v mig just FYI.
As far as fabrication goes what do you think is a better design? 4-2-1 or 4-1? Would it matter what runners meet up if i go from 4-2-1? Will it matter if they are equal length? Im pretty sure my dc is equal but not 100%.
THX
