Slowly things are moving along.

*Runners 3 and 4 are completely welded

*Awaiting on 2ft of pipe to arrive from acestainless

*Slight adjustments are being made due to weld shrinkage

Here is how I ran the brass screen/scotchbrite inside the cup. Never both at the same time tho...#10 cup shown
Image

The new hotness!

I learned that from a coworker that came from Cessna, who learned it from an old timer there. Improved the coverage even more on the #12 cup.

anny issues with the scotchbrite burning off as you weld, since you mentioned that trick ive been sticking it farther up the cup and gettting better results, but it seems to burn away a bit after time.

replaceing it isnt a big deal, i just worry about contaminats

No problems using it. I've been running the sb for months now. Just don't touch hot surfaces!

This came in yesterday....24"x12"x4.5"...

atleast why i dontm is space, this gives you a lot more room with a stubby cap to get in pita spaces.

the lenses i use atleast add 1/2 an inch or so in length, and the cups are larger in daimeter, which is a space killer

The cup on them is actually pretty shallow.

I used to as well with my old transformer machine.

Now with my inverter I find a #6 gas lens works much better. No idea why.

Sorry its a one-off, for my own personal abuse only

These things take waaay too much time to make. Each butt weld takes 25min +/- a few. That doesnt include prep/fit up, figuring where everything goes and making it fit in an s13 engine bay either :!:
