wish this fabrication section was more active. maybe this will get more people to post their efforts.

Here are some recent mods ive done to my suspension / steering setup. after 1 event, i couldnt be happier with the result.

Knuckles, Cut N Chut, 3 7/8" ball joint to tierod center to center, no ackerman correction

only have one blury photo of the root pass. 200 amp tig no filler, then ran 200 amp mig with mild steel wire. V groove prepped joint so i could get 100% penetration. came out purdy good.

Steering Rack Relocation ~ 1"

this is a really quick and easy mod - if you have the subframe out already. ive since added PBM rack bushings as the Energy Suspension ones quickly tacked out after install (clunking etc) as a note, with JGS mounts, the rack relocation and PBM mounts, i had to space up my mounts almost an 1/8" for the rack to clear the pan.

apologies for photo quality

My goals were:

more angle
quicker steering ratio
wider track - while maintaining wheel well clearance with the added angle

Bonus was
INSANE TURN IN GRIP - this was mostly from the increase in camber up front. i loose contact patch while driving straight but as i turn in i get progressive grip as i gain contact patch. i cant get over it, i would of run way more camber in my autox days had i known.

on page one of my build thread, i had never done more than an oil change. you got a harbor freight around you? dig in man and get some tools. 4 1/2" die grinder, 15$. could get a flux welder for 100$ pretty much anything you need, its cheap but always gets me through a bunch of jobs. and im relly just cutting and grinding **** untill its fits up. then i melt it together. thats it lol. and thanks dood.

Hopefully once I get more done on my car's foundational stuff, I can start tinkering with neat custom stuff like this :D

Already bought myself a decent little Lincoln MIG setup.
Looking for someone with a tubing notcher and a bead roller locally that I can use for a day to make a tube front and replace the garbage sheet metal in front of my strut towers. Managed to teach myself to weld a little when I first picked it all up. Having a knowledgeable person on hand would make this all a little easier to absorb, but I'm just winging it for now.
