I was wondering what kind of clutches you all are using in your hardbodies? I just blew my 15 year old stock clutch out... And its time to replace it but I want something better than stock...

I am running a clutch masters stage 4, This one. http://www.amsperformance.com/store/pro ... ts_id=1341

It seems to do good but it is really grabby, meaning that if you try to slip it it chatters.
It holds the power alot more than my centerforce duel friction ever did.

I fogott to ad that I am running the 240sx flywheel because it is a 240 block, but the truck flywheel will work on either motor but the truck clutches are not as plentifull.

N/A 300ZXs and Z31s might be the same... TT Z32 is different.

I'm using a 240SX FW and an ACT Xtreme PP / Street disc.

Ive got the luk pro gold clutch, the pedal is softer then stock, it takes a crapload of abuse, and i hear it can hold 10psi (depends on a lot but you get the idea) no clue which turbo

I looked into the 300zx clutch and just gave up and got the luk, i didnt find much solid information on which disc (and pressure plate?) will fit from what year 300zx

the 240 flywheels are smaller, so the truck flywheel is the best choice for surface area, too bad we dont have many good options. The contact surface is 240mm, i believe the 240 flywheels are 220

white bunny special = hardbody flywheel and clutch in a 240

Any chance to find a lightweight flywheel that will fit our trucks?

The 240 flywheel is 225mm yes the truck is 240mm...

I went with a centerforce stage 2 clutch... Supposed to hold around 250 ft-lbs... Plenty for what I am aiming for(220ish hp)

240 clutch flywheel and starter yes,... But why would you go from more clamping force to less?

Thats like being able to accel from 0-60 in 4 sec and wanting to go to 0-60 in 6sec...

Ok. So using a 240 clutch and a hardbody flywheel is the best way to go?

It is ok to do, you can get higher grade clutches... But I doubt you will have the power for that in your hardbody.

I have a stage 2 clutch made by centerforce that will hold up to 250ft pounds... Thats more than enough for me...

They also had a dual friction stage 3 but I didnt plan on going for 400 ft lbs yet...
