Wheel tire combo?

Post by akurtzer57 »

After getting my truck together and street tuned. I have major traction issues which was expected. Still on the stock 14" wheels. Im thinking of going with some 15" frontier wheels when I find a set. My main question is any tires out there that will hook up decent. Don't want spend big bucks for radials. Since truck is still my DD. Also truck is stock ka24e with godspeed Gt35 on 8 psi.

what tires are you using currently?
i would more suggest some 16-18s with some nice tires than trying to get 14/15s to hook up

When I had my HB, toyota 4x4 stocks were nice, 16x7, hella flush offset (lol!) combined that with some good rubber.. Wheel & tire Traction depends mostly on contact patch size and rubber quality. Couple of dudes ran those fat heavy chrome caddy wheels those worked also, for some reason they were always cheap too..

But the OEM frontier 15-16" alloys will hook up fine and mostly cheap. Dunlop, hankooks, and kumho tires are cheap.. All hook up very decent.
Saving KA24's... One at a time...
