So update. Got finished with the gauges. Sorry for it taking so long to get up pics but Ive been in the process of moving. The vent pod was made from wood that my girlfriends dad made in his wood shop. I then used textured black paint to cover it. The factory gauges were taken apart and the lens polished. The frame was painted with aluminum paint and the needles my girlfriend painted to match the autometer gauges. I then ordered Red LED bulbs for the gauges. Each bulb has 5 LED's. I got them from superbrightleds.com Hope you guys like it. Im finishing up the brakes now and getting tires. Then the car is having the roll cage put in along with the seats and downpipe. When it gets back its time to tune and then some body work......and yes I know the fuel gauge is messed up I have to fix it. Till next time enjoy

So got the brakes and lines done this week. Replaced both rear wheel bearings. Installed the brake lines also. Blasted the calipers and painted them. The car now has circuit sports extended wheel studs, and rotors. I also installed Hawk HPS pads. All new brake hardware from Nissan also. Im re-painting the brake booster right now too and Ill be installing the new brake and clutch master cylinder. Theres a few peeks of how the wheels will look too I ordered my tires also. Went with Nitto 555R drag radials in the rears and reg 555s in the front. Taking it to have the cage installed as soon as the tires come in. More to come.....stay tuned!!!!!!!!!!!!

So.....Got my tires mounted Waiting on the lug nuts to come in so they can be mounted. Went with a Nitto 555R drag radial for the back, in a 245/45/17. The fronts were mounted with Nitto 555s in a 205/40/17 The last 2 in the country. That tire got discontinued. Also wrapped the Master cylinder in reflective tape and bleed the brakes. More pics of that later. Anyways once I get em bolted up its off for roll cage installation. My girlfriend edited the pics and is ready to get behind the wheel Its the home stretch!!!!!!

Yeah, Im waiting on the lug nuts and front wheel spacers to come in. The front calipers cleared but there still a little to close for comfort.

So its deff been a while, but well worth the wait. First off let me start off by saying FANTASTIC Job to the entire team at B.R.E. Motorsports. They finished my roll cage, downpipe, dump tube, and we are currently re-wiring the car and will be running AEM instead of the previous Haltech system The guys at BRE also made me custom seat brackets for my car. All of which I will post pics of now and at a later date.
Honestly without there help I would not be as close as I am to finishing this project. I highly recommend anyone to there shop. Your not going to find this kind of quality anywhere else. If you want fair, quality, craftsmanship, this is your place. Tex and the guys at BRE are pushing the envelope in the tuner market and without that compassion and attention to detail we wont continue to see our love grow. The next time you see me I'll be on the rollers of a Dyno
The best thing about B.R.E. is they are a sponsor on KA-T
Call them if you guys need anything and tell them Zach sent you!!!! http://www.bremotorsports.com/

Looking good! Diggin the cage, was there a reason they tied into the rear strut bar instead of the strut towers themselves?

I can see where he is coming from about the rear section of the roll cage only being tied into the side of the strut tower. I took your image into MS Paint for a min and think this would improve the strength of the design. Here is my quick rendering:
Triangles are stronger; doing this makes a triangle. Just a thought.

As far as the bars being tied into the strut tower, they are the welds are attached to the strut brace and the plate on the tower. As far as strength and support goes...this cage more than gets the job done. My goal with this car is no more than a 9.5 pass. This cage will be plenty legal to that point. The fabricator left plenty of room on the plates for further additions later if I want. For now this cage will work perfect.
